Belated

Sorry I missed posting on this. Was hiking in Crater Lake National Park & was without cell and internet for 2 whole days!

Anyway, Happy Canada Day! I'm looking forward to visiting in August!

Happy Canada Day!

Besides having relatives in the GTA, I am always happy when I have to go there for business. Just Friday, someone mentioned a project in Etobicoke. I said, "Again?"

And oddly, nobody (customs and immigration) is ever interested on either side, of hearing of the purpose of my trip.

Happy Canada Day

North America must unite. Yesterday, July 1 Canada celebrated its Day. Wednesday July 4 its U.S.A. turn to celebrate its day!

We need to be safe in North America & United.

Best Wishes To....

All of my Canadian friends.

Canada Day

We live in Northern California - Chico to be exact. Last year there was a heat wave that lasted a couple of weeks. Temps over 100 F every day and many days over 110 F. We were on a 7 week camping trip to Canada and Alaska. My wife posted a FB pic of her in a light sweatshirt and was told it was "climate porn" by someone back home in the heat. We spent Canada Day in Jasper National Park. smile

We absolutely loved traveling through Canada. We camped in Alberta, BC, and Yukon before heading into Alaska and up to Fairbanks. As it was a 7 week trip we spent quite a bit of it in Canada. Freaking BEAUTIFUL. Canada is the size of the US but has fewer people than California. Big win for Canada there.

That's what Canadians would like. To be safe and United in the mutual friendship and respect, that Canadians and Americans have shared in over a hundred years of friendship.

Toronto

I'll there the end of August for a few days for a conference.
Not nearly enough time to see much, but I understand the National Expo will be going on and I have to try some sort of large pastry referred to as a beaver tail. I'm looking forward to it!

~Angela

P.s. In the 1990's I visited British Columbia (Vancouver and Victoria Island) for a high school choir competition. We didn't need passports back then. I'm guessing it's quite prohibitive for average high schools like mine to have that sort of experience these days. Trying to get passports for 60 kids sounds like a nightmare!

Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada Day To all in Canada

Hi Angela
By National Exposition I think you may mean CNE ( Canadian National Exposition) which is in Toronto. It runs from about the middle of August and ends on Labour Day.

As for Beaver tails, that is a specialty in Ottawa and unless they have a vendor making and selling them at the CNE you'll not find that in Toronto.

Enjoy your stay in the currently NOT frozen north.
