while it's enivatible this will happen
there's a gazillion and one things that will have to happen first and likely not happen any time in anyone's lifetime that can read this today (so if you're 6 its not likely going to affect you).
The liability aspect alone will become a complete nightmare as to whom to try to recover from.
Then having a government say to those with older vehicles they must install self navigation hardware / software may be more than difficult..
On the other-hand, it's quite likely some lobbyist(s) will push to make it so a private person can't own a vehicle... making so if you want to go from point a to point b, you'll be required to order one up... much more likely....
Oh.. the first thing that will likely go away will cycles of any kind...
