Hello everybody, thanks for having me in this forum. I have already learned some new things and I signed up for the red light and speed cameras subscription.

I currently have a Nuvi 3597 and am considering moving to a DriveSmart 61LMT. Can the "saved" file be moved directly from one to the other or are they in different formats? Any insight would be appreciated.

While reading a recent Extra POI node here on POI a question of updates to the Editor was asked. So I looked up turboccc's page for the POI editor and got the following notice:

Does anyone use a VPN and if you do, witch one do you use or recommend ?

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Member dhn over in the GPSReview forum posted this link in relation to a recent firmware update for several TomTom devices. I had not heard of this situation before and it made me wonder if our Garmin devices are vulnerable and if so, will Garmin do anything about it? Also, do cell phones use this timing information, and if so which phones might be vulnerable?

What does the Red Barn badge indicate/signify? Couldn't find any info relating to it in the 'BADGES' section.

Sweet corn!

For our western US members, be on the lookout for the best sweet corn available in grocery stores, sweet corn from Olathe CO! (Check Google or YouTube for Olathe sweet corn.) It's now available this season even in AZ as well as in CO east of the Rockies.

My wife was driving today, and there is a big RAT at the construction site of a new building.

I look at the pic that she texted me, there are 4 guys standing around with impeccable tans, and they drove up in an Acura MDX with a Thule pod on the top? Placed an orange cone so that nobody would I guess clip the Acura.

I would think a F250 or RAM 2500 or Silverado would be more appropriate?

Not wanting to start what appeared to be a fight over this topic but I wonder if not getting a compliant license would get one out of federal jury duty because you couldn't enter the court house which certainly is a federal building.

This technology has been around for some time and I'm surprised it hasn't been better utilized in the programming of newer stand alone and vehicle integrated GPSr's.
