Rubic Cube

Does anyone remember the Rubic's Cube, and how many solved it?
I still have three of them and can't remember ever completing one.

What Made You Smile Today

At another place in cyberspace there's a thread called "What Made You Smile Today" and I want to share my post from there, and start one here also.

Paying $5 for a script that was costing me $60.

When you find a rendition of a tune you like

Do you have any tendency to play it over, and over?

For me, doing so, takes me back to when I was a child.

Also, there's some element related to seeing how someone else, plays a song that I play on guitar. But it's mostly the former, that causes me to play it over and over.

This is one of those tunes.

Fascinating read about the 50th anniversary of the GPS system

See https://www.gps.gov/governance/advisory/meetings/2023-05/par...

Keep in mind that this is a compendium of PowerPoint (PP) slides and if you aren’t familiar with PP there might seem to be a lot of repetition.

Vanity plates

Anyone have vanity plates? I've always had them, like GPS, and maps in general, it's something that interests me.

FiOS was down 22 hours at home

I deal with Verizon professionally.

When the internet went down at home, I got a real taste of how faceless of an entity they are. Good luck wading through the myriad of roadblocks to speaking with a human. It is easier to weave through eastbound traffic on the LIE at 17:00 EDT.

IPadOS 17.0.1 is out
