In life it's tough knowing when to let somethings go

As you know my screenname is soberbyker, well, as of today I guess I should change my name to soberEXbyker.

14 years 1 hour

Wow, I was just skimming through my "account" area and saw that I have been a member here for 14 years and 1 hour.

Where has the time gone. I am very grateful for the 'factory', especially 14 years ago when I was just learning about the ability to add POIs to my GPSs.

Thanks to all I've met along the way.

Bill

OnX Offroad Cell Coverage Layer

I received an email today from OnX Maps. They have added a new Cell Coverage Layer.

(See where signal begins and ends across the three main service providers: AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.)

I emailed OnX to find out which version(s) of their maps has this layer. I suspect that they are getting the date for this map from the FCC, but I am just guessing.

recycling used motor oil

Pet peeve. Since moving to PA about 26 years ago, I've dealt with shops here refusing to accept used motor oil for recycling. A stark contract to NYS where I moved from, where shops have to accept 5 gallons per day--20 quarts! By law (Article 23, Title 23).

Here in PA, one has to drive around and around like that NC barge with the garbage, only to have it refused one place after another.

What Are The Differences Between The Various Open Street Maps?

Yesterday, I added numerous Garmin (Latin 1) maps. I did not use Basecamp because it wasn't needed.

Garmin OSM

Garmin Cycle

Garmin Leisure

Garmin Onroad

Garmin Ontrail

Garmin BBBike

Garmin Openfietsmap Full

Garmin OpenSeaMap

Garmin OpenTopoMap

I have been poking around trying to find out the differences in these maps.

On BBBike I see this:
