Thank you!

Downloading now.

Update

My phones all auto updated with no noticeable issues so far.

Not happy with some of the minor screen changes though. The bar at the bottom of the screen, used to close an app, is now invisible. You have to tap the screen to get it to appear. This is a problem with some apps that interpret the tap as interaction.

The method to access bookmarks in Safari has changed and I find it more awkward to use.

Haven't investigated yet whether these are chaneable or not.

Thank you

Thank you, updating now.

finally

was able to complete this update, my 256 gb 13 pro has been full for a long time where I'd have to offload apps to use another app. Would get teaser emails get a new phone on us no trade, no kidding. Follow the link and it wants a trade. Have a never opened 11 pro sealed in box yep won't charge.

Had to move pics from Jan to Aug 2019 to my son's phone, freeing up maybe 12 gb. Then deleted 4 apps.

Went to 26.2.1, failed mutliple times but finally succeeded, and lo and behold, 10 gb freed up and wound up with 234 gb used. Did that with son's phone and the opposite happened, the OS grew by about 12 gb. Something called AI.

Any benefits? No. Camera even harder to use, etc. etc. But I get it, upgrade or be square!

j/k I assume there's better security. If that's a wrong assumption then the joke's on me. Not into this stuff as I get older.

net net thanks to this update I have a fully functioning phone that works and has free space. That's it. Cool often means harder to use, which is the case imho. Also son has a watch and Toy Story is gone (his watch is $5/mo for cellular but linked to a free iPhone 16 pro which remains at home).

Consider me a square...

I am a square. I don't update just to update & have the newest fluff. iOS 26 has been on my avoid list ever since it was announced, solely due to the Liquid Glass BS. My iPhone SE 2020 does not qualify for Apple Intelligence (AKA Apple Bloatware) so I'm lucky there as you are. I don't need multi GB of data being sucked up for something I'll never use. My iPads DO qualify for Apple Bloatware where the bloat can't be removed until the OS deems it should be. Thanks for holding my storage space for ransom, Apple!
