More post??? or is it just me?

It seems that after T'giving, there has been a HUGE increase in posts!!!!! Can the admins give us a percentage? I can't even keep up anymore. Each time I come, there are 4 pages to read.

I know that a lot have joined since then, but many times just because you join, you don't necessarily post, and some move on after a day or two.

4,500 new members could be why;)

Since the day before Thanksgiving we have had 4,500 new people join our community to download POIs or use our forums. That is the count over the last 2 weeks and 3 days.
Pretty amazing huh

You are amazing. Look what you've started!

I'd kiss your feet if you promise you'd take it as a compliment and not as an inappropriate come-on. wink

4500 new members

People are recognizeing a good thing, poi-factory

Possibly because...

Possibly because of all the great deals out there, zillions of people (that's a technical term) have picked up GPSr units and naturally gravitate toward the best site for POI's and advice. Don't you think?

yup the deals

if it wasnt for the deal, i would have not got my navi and i would have not joined this forum

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth Miss POI,...

or be too nosy, but are you and JM actually making some money off this site? It's a great gift to all of us. But I keep wondering if you'll keep it up if for all the time and energy you put in it doesn't have some financial incentives to you. I recall your humble beginnings, where you asked for '$10. salad donations'. I gave you one then. What say you now?

For the most part, I try to keep my chattiness to the Chat thread.

Anyone can start something, but keeping it going is another story and she and john do an excellent job!!! I think that one of the biggest things is that they really do (as well as other members) try to keep this a very friendly place.

I would kiss her feet too as long as she washed them before...lol.

The site allows me to fulfill my dream of being a full time stay at home mommy and give our children the love and support that they need during these early years in their life.

Jon and I don't need much, just each other and a roof over our heads. We don't have huge aspirations of making a lot of money with this. We just like being happy with the little extra that it brings in to keep me home.

I think that the most rewarding thing about this site is just being part of this wonderful group of people, I have something to look forward to each and every day. I know a lot of people that would kill to have a job that they enjoy as much as I enjoy mine.

I love you guys, you fulfill a need for personal connection with other people, and you guys are so willing and ready to help the other people that come along and need assistance.

The things that I get from this site are priceless items. Don't let that stop you from subscribing to the site though, a nice chef salad every once in a while is a good thing.

Miss Poi

Amen to that!

Amen to that! We need more of that in our society. I use to operate what some would call a successful discussion website. I would suggest you add some simple code in the software to include some Google banners. It is very easy to do, non-intrusive and it will bring poi-factory some revenue to help off-set the costs of maintaining this one. I use to have to offset $800 a month on the one I ran.

Thanks!

I am one of the guilty who bought a gps after thanksgiving, then searched high and low to figure out what it could do-I landed/crashed! here, I don't know how long you have been doing this but I personally want to thank you for a great service you do, I am a true newbie at this gps stuff and have already gotten a plateful of info, I doubt that I will be able to contribute much but I hope 1 contribution that helps someone offsets the multitude of help I get.

THANKS!!!!!

Thank God that there isn't. Probably one reason is because it isn't run by a large company where the main objective is to make cash over hand.

We find that ads detract

We find that ads detract from the community feel of the site. It makes it a more comfortable place to hang out.
