Trimmed Version?

I went to post a topic in the Open Talk forum that had four paragraphs. During the preview process I get a warning that shows my topic will be published as a trimmed version with one paragraph that includes two abbreviated sentences. The two sentences won't cover the topic at hand.

What up with this? question

Scrolling?

I just tested creating a message in the Open Forum.

When done composing and then clicking the "Preview" button, I see the Trimmed Version, and below it, the full version as would appear if I clicked the Post button. Can you scroll below what you see in Preview?

I do admit that I don't see a purpose to seeing a preview of a Trimmed Version.

I've never seen a warning that the posted version will only be shown trimmed so maybe I'm lucky confused

the trimmed version is never posted

The trimmed version is never posted. Only the full version is.

Thanks for posting!

Trimmed Version Message

"The trimmed version of your post shows what your post looks like when promoted to the main page or when exported for syndication. You can insert the delimiter "" (without the quotes) to fine-tune where your post gets split."

As advised by both CraigW & dobs108 (Thanks to both), I was able to post the full message in a post topic "Late TV Bill Payment" but the above message is what was shown at the time I initially tried to post my topic yesterday. Today I received the same message but I ignored it and the full non-abbreviated topic was posted in the end. sad
