Adding GPS Coordinates to Photos

I'm looking for a tool to add GPS coordinates to photos. I just tried gpsimgr, but you have to use the Pro version, because they can no longer afford to pay Google's exorbitant fees.

It looked like a great little online tool. They restricted to 5 photos a day, to do it for free, and that's perfect for me.

Any ideas?

Some elaboration may be needed

What is the type, preferably make and model of the device that takes the picture? Is there a future specific need to have it imbedded?

Many smartphones have the latitude and longitude imbedded in the picture metadata. See https://www.igeeksblog.com/how-to-get-metadata-of-photos-on-... for how to get the data out of an iPhone image.

Most DSLR could have the information imbedded manually with an EXIF editor.

Exif Pilot

I use the program EXIF Pilot. I use the freeware version, usually to remove GPS tags from photos taken with my phone when I want to protect privacy when posting the picture online. But EXIF pilot will allow you to edit and save the GPS tags also. The paid PRO version has some added features including bulk changing of the tags on multiple files, but for my limited use, the free version works great.

Just google EXIF Pilot and you will find it.

What computer hardware?

Adding to my comment before, what computer hardware are you using? That might affect the recommendations being offered.

I was on a 12 day bus tour in Newfoundland and I only turned the location on my Android phone part way through the second day. I want to add it on the photos, that were missed.

It was a great help when I was adding information into my photos, such as where it was taken and the particular museums, etc.

No more than about 15 photos.

Phone is Android and Windows 10 on the PC.

Thanks John From PA: EXIF Pilot perfect for my needs

Thanks John From PA. EXIF Pilot works perfectly for what I want.

I just get the coordinates form Google Maps or Google Earth and enter as needed. Very easy, since it gives the options for Degree Minutes/Seconds or Decimal Degrees.

That recommendation ( a good one) was from “alandb”.
