The security update 16.5.1 (a) came out a few days ago and was pulled by Apple. 16.5.1 (c) is now available.

Sure, but on the other hand, I remember criticism of Apple for waiting too long, for the next significant update, to address "zero day" (a threat today, not just hypothetical) security risks, when a quick update could fix them today. That's what they pledged to do starting in May, and this is an example. It does install quickly.
