Contributors Of The Week 2023-07-24

This week we're recognizing bear007

Bear007 recently started a thread describing a map update problem he was having with his Zumo 665.

Over the course of the discussion, he learned his Zumo 655 was no longer supported by Garmin. But with help from several POI Factory members, bear007 was eventually able to arrive at a working solution using OpenMapChest.

Thank you bear007 for weathering the obstacles and sharing your journey towards a solution.

(Also, thanks to all who helped bear007 along the way:
CraigW, John from PA, Strephon_Alkhalikoi, and alandb.)

A Big Thank You

Thank you to all,

It was a quick learning and educational flurry with the fast input from CraigW, John from PA, Strephon_Alkhalikoi, and alandb.

I'm away on vacation this week but have a little more to add about supplemental map filenames to the thread when I return. So stay tuned in.

Thanks again,

Yes Mary, we fixed a few things working together in the past. Look forward to solving any problems together in the future. I have been gone for a while with retiring, covid and my laptop crashing at the same time.

Kevin

My missing in action is due to all the medical treatment and appointments for my husbands cancer and stage 5 kidney failure.
I have finally found that if I take time to be with all of you it helps.
Glad to see you back.
