This week we are recognizing Raygus1938 for his outstanding contribution to the Chicago area Red Light Camera project. He found a new link that listed all the new cameras and now they are all included in the file.

I really appreciate all the hard work he invested in geocoding all the data for me.

I am attempting to convert a gpx.xlm file to csv file.
The input file type is Garmin Logbook XLM but I don't what output file type to use.
Can anyone help?

I just purchased a new Garmin nuvi 765T to replace my retired nuvi 750.I want to pull the "favorites" off of the 750 and install them on the new 765.I copied the 750's gpx files and transferred them to the 765 but the 765 still shows nothing in the way of my 750's favorites.Did i do something wrong? thanks for your help..

I am just curious if people here still use online mapping websites. I Still do, even though I have GPS. I am also wondering if anybody here has noticed which of them seem to be updates the most frequently. The reason I ask is I wanted to map my brother-in-laws house, which is a couple of years old and on a street built about the time be built his home.

I have been shopping for a gps for my bissuness for a short time and just seem to be getting more confused as I go.

I have a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx with City Navigator NT North America and Trip & Waypoint Manager. I am using a Macbook Pro and downloaded Garmin POI Loader for Mac. I found Rest Areas Combined and clicked on CSV and it downloads to the Downloads file.

Has anyone had any experience with My POI Manager software? The link is below.

I am real green as far as gps goes. What is the difference between way points and POI's? Should I see them on the display as I drive along the highway?

Saw an interesting article today about the how the price of GPS units will continue to drop, like Tom Tom for $50, and big companies will be in trouble.

i recently purchased anew nuvi255w. i registered it and upgraded my map. it was a one time free item which also had a shelf life of 53 days. seeing the price of map updating, i think i would rather purchase a new unit rather than pay for this service which is only valid for the unit in question. there is no provision for owing multiple units.

Downloaded a couple mp3 files from the poi factory to
my Garmin 755t; used a bulk renamer to associate the csv & mp3 files... so no typos. Using the "police siren" mp3 for local poi's only.. ie 'local_siren.csv' & 'local_siren.mp3'
and all other poi's are in the 'other_poi.csv' with no corresponding mp3.
