Congratulations!

I have noticed in my short time here at the POI Factory that Charlie is always willing to put forth the information that we desparately need; whether it is a question from a newbie or a question from someone who is more versed in the inner workings of a GPS but needs helps on a more complicated subject. Congrats on the COW award. Richly deserved.

If you're asking about the built-in POIs that come with the map data, then no, they can't be modified, added or deleted.

Way to go, Charlesd45! Thank you for your efforts!

Deleteing POI's (well at least Flagging them as bad)

It depends on the Garmin unit.

My 1390T I can Flag Bad POI's and then they Don't get deleted, but they don't show up in the when I search in the list any more (ex: I flagged Friday's it closed down and it doesn't show up in the Search list in my home town anymore). When I connect to Garmin connect it uploads the Flagged files to Garmin's Mapping group to HOPEFULLY, Maybe, By Some Strange act of the sun and the stars lining up, it will get updated in a future release so it doesn't show as a POI anymore.

Garmin 3597 LMTHD

Still appreciated

Thanks Charles. You were the first to help me at POI Factory (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/23125), which I still appreciate. Since that time, I've created and uploaded 19 different POIs, with one (101 Tastiest Places to Chowdown) having 2,395 downloads.
