Deep Loss
Tonight I lost the love of my life. My wife of 30 years passed away after complications from a brain operation. She had been suffering for several months now and is at peace. She was a very young 54 years old.
For those of you that have sent me updates to my files, please be patient with me as I will get back to this as soon as I am up to it. Please do keep sending any updates you may have.

ferries
We are taking a grip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When we arrive at Cape Hatteras Light house we will proceed south to Myrtle Beach SC. Will my GPS know I might want to take the two ferries enroute?

Installing New Stuff
How do you go about installing voices or different cars onto your GPS. I havea garmin 285 with a usb cable and figured I could hook it up through the computer some how to install. Does anyone know how?

“WaterFalls of the U.S.A”
I have just changed my “WaterFalls of the U.S.A” http://www.poi-factory.com/node/27960 to CSV file because the GPX file was damaged. Please let me know if there is a problem with this new file!!

Red Light/Speed Violators
Why is it that the same folks who don't obey speed limits/red lights also feel they don't have to follow the forum rules?
I'm referring to the group of people who insist on posting red light/speed camera topics in the Open Talk forum rather than posting such topics in the designated Ticket Cameras forum.

Camera Leguality question
Regarding the traffic cameras, how do the cities get around the 6th amendment that gives us the right to confront our accuser?
I had wondered about this before but this thought was reawakened when it was brought up in one of my favorite TV shows, "The Big Bang Theory"
I imagine that the answer will contain a bunch of legal mum-bo-jumbo. LOL

Driving direction from Ottawa to Toronto (Canada)
I will drive my car from Ottawa to Toronto coming Sat. I searched my GPS and Google Map, but they both have two suggestions. 1st hwy 15 and hwy 401, 2nd hwy 416 and hwy 401. Which one is better? Thanks.

Just heard that the 8.8 quake moved the Earth 3" on it's axis. Amazing the power of the planet.

New guy with a Zumo 550
Hi, just got a Zumo 550 for my KLR650 and was wondering what some good POIs would be to download for it and if anyone has any tips/ suggestions with working with the Zumo. Thank you!

Suction Cup Mount
I have a suction cup mount that isn't staying on a windshield. What are the best suggestions of readers here to keep it on? Should I clean the windshield with Windex or alcohol? Does something else work better? I even saw a post somewhere that suggested a bit of Vaseline to help keep a seal.
Newbie (don't see the POI files on my Garmin)
Hello All,
I am brand new to the POI Factory and I just tried downloading my first POI files. It seemed as if everything went successfully and I got the message saying successful download of 14 new location but I don't see any new files on my Garmin. Where did I go wrong?
