Does anyone have a link for the Google Chrome OS beta site? I was a early on beta tester for windows 7 and watched it shake down and would like to do the same with chrome.

CBC Marketplace is doing a feature on GPS and distracted driving on Friday Jan 15th. Should be interesting. I know that some people can't walk and chew gum at the same time but how far will this go.

This isn't going to be fun. The city of Surprise, Arizona (where I live) is planning to spring surprises on motorists in the near future.

I have the Garmin 265wt. Does it have the ability to calculate sort best route for multiple location?

Watch out around Weed Ca.! They have a reduced speed limit, & sophisticated radar.
I think that's how the township exists- collecting fines.
Also for all you guys with radar detectors - Washington State Troopers are now armed with Instant On laser guns.
By the time yor detector goes off - too late.

I have a minor suggestion for the discussion forums. Would it be possible to put the page number links at the top as well as at the bottom of each page? Sometimes the posts I'm interested in reading are on page 3 or 4 and I have to page-down several time to get to the links.

An alternative would be to put the links on the page listing the topics i.e. "Garmin is Great" [pg 1, 2, 3, 4}.

I too would like to thank ms poi and all of the contributors to this site. My wife got me this nuvi 255w for Christmas and just didn't know what to do. It was out of good fortune that I found your link at Garmin.com and came here. I'm glad I did. All my wife can say when I find and download a new poi is, "Well, I'm so glad you like your new "toy"." And by the way..... I'm #197341.

Recently joined and I think I'm hooked on how useful the POI files can be. I'd really like to build some for my area since I don't find a lot that are area-specific for my area but I don't really have a clue where to start.

I just got my first GPS, an entry level Magellen Maestro 3225, and then came across this site. Looks like I'll be doing some research here and hoping I can contribute in some way. I have yet to use the POI editor, but once I figure it out maybe I could start by adding all the mailbox locations around my city.

According to this article in today's St Petersburg Times, an idea for red-light type cameras is being proposed to protect Manatees in Florida.

"... urging state officials to install a waterway version of red-light cameras in areas with no-entry, idle and slow zones to persuade boaters to respect the rules that protect manatees."

Hello all. I am trying to help a friend who is planning an extended motorcycle trip in Europe starting in April.

We are looking for a POI list he can load and use on his Garmin Zumo 450- actually on an SD card for the Zumo.

Having recently loaded a number of POI files with icons and alerts, I get the feeling that not all of the alerts are playing.

I looked in the help for the POILoader for comments, but found none. So, I want to pose a question.
