So it is getting pretty darn hot here in Arizona, close to 110F or so. I usually park my car in the shade or garage, but there have been more than a few times where I had to leave my GPS in the glove box, trunk, etc., as I run errands.

Have not had issues yet, but I can't help but think that kind of heat must be bad for the GPS, right?

Looks like we won't have to worry about updates to the Borders POI database.

I'm new to the forums specifically, though I've had an account with this site for quite longer. And it's been quite some time from making an account here and this topic here. Which seems somewhat wrong.

We just purchased a Garmin Nuvi-1450.

I just figured out how to get the POI files with sound and custom icon installed.

Now I'm looking to learn more about creating the custom POI files; however, the discussions and instructions are occationally disjointed. SO, can someone here point me in the right direction?

I have some data of UTM zone 42N in yards. How can i convert that data in to decimal degrees?

We live in Maryland, where O'Malley started charging us a $1.50/month "administrative fee" for absolutely nothing, so we canceled our EZ-pass. We use it enough that we'd like to pick one up again but only if there is no fee involved, so I've been looking at neighboring states' EZ-Pass programs.

To anyone who like sport Garmin is the sponsor of the Tour the France race that it started on July 1 and will end on the 24 ,So far they have done only 9 Stage the next race will be live on Tuesday July 12 starting at 8:00 AM but they also broadcast at 2 Pm and 8 PM the channel name is VERSUS ,Also Garmin as Team up with the best company who does make bikes..CERVELO..

I am considering buying a used Dell Streak (Mini 5), buying the vehicle mount, adding ALK CoPilot navigation onto a micro SD, and using this as a vehicle GPS. Can anybody here tell me if that would make a good vehicle GPS? Also, I would probably get it carrier subsidy unlocked and install a T-Mobile prepaid SIM card as a backup. Plus, the T-Mobile SIM card should allow access to a few websites.

Being new at this and with a new Garmin, I am trying to figure out how to get all the wal mart data from my computer to my garmin in an orgainized way? Help..

I am the author of a few poi file here (one being the Offbeat tourest) also some on my "bob tourest acctractions sites"

I wanted to set up a meet and greet with anyone in the New York area..

Due to my job situation in the past, I could not do this before but now I am ready. I want to set up a meet at Rye playland area in ny.. I will foward the address and cord soon. you can also google that area if you like!

last year i purchased a satellite radio and i had recently purchased a garmin nuvi 1350T. my truck has a power port and cig lighter port. i plugged the garmin in the cig lighter and sat radio in the power port. one day i swapped them and poof it blew the fuse in the box going to the lighter. i knew it was not pulling that much amperage. after blowing 2 fuses. i took a good look at both ports.
