In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Southern Alberta Floods

If you are heading to Alberta this summer be ready for some delays and minor disappointments.

Recent flooding resulted in major damage that closed the Trans Canada Highway near the Banff Park Gate. It just reopened on June 26 and traffic is moving through very slowly.

County Fair Grounds that have RV facilities or just overnight parking.

Anyone out there know of any databases containing County Fairgrounds that have RV facilities or just Overnight Parking? Best to All, Dmcgill1

New Red Light Cameras to be Installed

Phoenix is preparing to Install New Red Light Cameras in the Valley of the Sun. The New Cameras are much Smaller (than a Bread Box) and will be more difficult to Detect.
The Fines are also being Increased.

Contributors of the Week 2013-6-17

This week we are recognizing camping rivopom and TXRVer for their work in updating their Campgrounds and RV Parks POI files.

The recent updates to these files come just in time for the 4th of July, a holiday many Americans celebrate by taking time off work to pretend to be homeless for a few days. razz

Thank you both for updating and maintaining these files for our community!

Colorodo fires

How are the fires in Colorodo affecting Rocky Mountain National Park?

Themes

I tried to search, but couldn't find anything on it, but is there anywhere on this site to share a custom Garmin Theme? I'm working on an easier-to-see version of a theme and would like to share it when it's done, but I don't see anything here that would indicate that is something that can be done?
Sorry if this has been asked before!

POI File

I Created and Uploaded and Shared a CSV File for POI and it does NOT seem to appear anywhere. Kan anyone Shed Sum Lite, Thanx..(I Spell the way I Talk) Does the nice folks here at the POI Factory look at the new File and sit and Study it for Hours upon Hours or sum thin before Posting?

what's behind the new ezpass?

We got one in the mail yesterday, and they want one of the 4 that we have back. It is much thicker, looks like a wedge, and 1/2 the height. Just curious if it has any means of spying on the motorist. I once caught a car dealer who put a RFID device in my car. It's amazing how much tech there is out there. Maybe this new EZPass is thicker to accomodate the camera. lol

Where will you buy your next gps?

Without a doubt, I think of amazon.com, but I am resistant to the collection of sales tax, which begins 7/1/13 in my state. They are so big imho they will collect in all states sometime in the near future.

Where will you buy your next unit?

Rv gps

I'm trying to figure out the differences between the following gps units; Garmin RV 760 LMT $400, Magellan Roadmate RV9165T $400, Roadmate RV9165T-LM $350, Roadmate RV9145 $350, Roadmate RV9145-LM $320, Rand McNally RVND 7720-LM $350?

Stolen iPads can be found

Two iPads were stolen from neighboring homes here in Dubuque. One owner activated "Find my Mac" on his device. It indicated it was near the harbor. Police followed the lead and found one occupied vehicle. Meantime the owner activated the sound alert which allowed the officer to check the vehicle where they found the two iPads plus three others and a GPS that had been reported.
