Montgomery County, MD School Bus Cameras
There is an article in the Washington Post this morning citing the intent to install 25 bus stop cameras by Jan 3rd. This would be to enforce people not stopping as buses pickup or discharge children on the way to school.
This kind of camera I can support - NOT red light & speed cameras which are operated with shortened yellows to make substantial revenue.

Miss POI Checking in.....
It is that time of year again when we start that holiday season and think about our friends and family.
Once again I am brought back here to our POI Factory family. This will always be a home to me that I will always come back to for visits from time to time.
Things are going really well, I just celebrated 2 years with NMCI and have now been rolled over as a Hewlett Packard employee.

Looking to replace my 5+ year old Nuvi 360
Hi
My Nuvi 360 still works, but find it a bit slow, running out of memory for the latest map updates.
Seems like there are lots of options out there and prices have certainly come down since I paid $500 for my current unit.
I was thinking of getting one with lifetime maps and traffic like the Garmin 2595LMT.
Is the traffic feature worth it? What are the pros and cons?

Raiders of the Lost K-Mart
The Consumerist often has entries labeled "Raiders of the Lost Walmart", where intrepid readers send in pictures of obsolete items that still languish on Walmart shelves years after they were discontinued, and oftentimes priced close to their original retail.

You Folks Are Good
I try to keep up with reporting Red Light or Speed Cameras in my near D.C./MD area. While heading out to lunch yesterday, I saw a speed camera being installed on North Portal Drive, DC. I went back today with my GPS to take a location. Lo & behold, you already had it in the database! I guess I never saw it go in earlier.
A big bravo to the team.

Civil versus Criminal Law
In another thread (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/40013), Steevo worried that his discussion with me was hijacking that thread.
Since He was taking exception with the fact that there is no right in civil law to "face your accuser", I thought we might continue in a new thread.
Let me begin with this

New to the Forum
Hey all,
I just discovered the POI Factory and there appears to be a wealth of info here. I thank you past and present contributors for that!
I've had a Garmin Nuvi 1490LMT and have now recently purchased a Nuvi 2595LMT.
I'm just learning the basics of POIs...and writing them, so in the near future, I hope to be a contributor.
Glad to be aboard,
Russ
