In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Just around town this week...

Now that it's springtime ...
It's time to head to the Indian casinos.
Garmin Drive 61, nuvi 2597MT, too many really.
New Orleans
just returned from an amazing trip to New Orleans. Couldn't ask for better weather!
GPS froze twice
Avoiding traffic in the rain!
We finally got some rain here on the Left Coast! That of course means lots of problems on the roads. Coming home from a client's place, Waze warned me of a traffic mess ahead. I bailed and had my Nuvi lead me home, declining its (repeated) suggestions to get back on the (stopped) freeway.
If you haven't tried RainX (or it's competitor Aquapel), these are easy to apply coatings that make your windsheild and other glass hydrophobic -- they repel water. You won't need your windshield wipers as much, and they'll work better.
RainX is easier to apply, less expensive, more available, and doesn't last quite as long. Aquapel is more expensive, takes more care to apply, and easy to find on-line but difficult to find in local retail.
Like painting, preparation is everything in using one of these -- really, really clean the windshield first!

Combination
The combination of the RainX washer fluid and RainX wipers is an easy cheat. Water beads up and runs off almost as well as the treatment.

Considering the difficult weather in the Midwest and East this winter, one would have been hard-pressed to find a better place to be than Phoenix, AZ. Beautiful weather all winter.

Visiting my daughter near Minneapolis. My 3597LMTHD can't get a traffic signal here. My 755T never had a problem getting a signal here, so it must be a problem related to the HD receiver.

I love the POIs, even for just local driving. It is amazing how many drug stores are within just 2 miles of hoe.
Back in Illinois.
To the daughter's house and back. Of course I know the way, but I like to have the turns announced and the ETA displayed.

Not here on the east of canada. Blizzard last week, 50mm (what ever that is in English), of snow, just about rain since even Noah has said enough. 17 degrees C today. The deer finished eating my cedar tree yesterday. Spring ? bah humbug, even the GPS cannot see through this weather. """
32 Degrees Here...

Google vs. Garmin
Finding that despite keeping maps "up to date", the Garmin just is doing a very poor job of keeping current. Next trip, I'll be using my tablet or phone with Google doing my navigation. It works better and I don't have to carry another device.
Loving this Iowa weather
Don't need to go anywhere now.
Going to Georgia Guide Stones
Just because it's there.
