In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
but have another trip in the planning stages
It's time to head to the Indian casinos.
just returned from an amazing trip to New Orleans. Couldn't ask for better weather!
GPS froze twice
We finally got some rain here on the Left Coast! That of course means lots of problems on the roads. Coming home from a client's place, Waze warned me of a traffic mess ahead. I bailed and had my Nuvi lead me home, declining its (repeated) suggestions to get back on the (stopped) freeway.
If you haven't tried RainX (or it's competitor Aquapel), these are easy to apply coatings that make your windsheild and other glass hydrophobic -- they repel water. You won't need your windshield wipers as much, and they'll work better.
RainX is easier to apply, less expensive, more available, and doesn't last quite as long. Aquapel is more expensive, takes more care to apply, and easy to find on-line but difficult to find in local retail.
Like painting, preparation is everything in using one of these -- really, really clean the windshield first!
The combination of the RainX washer fluid and RainX wipers is an easy cheat. Water beads up and runs off almost as well as the treatment.
Getting lost trying to find a wall to climb.
Actually, a rock climbing class.
Did a loop, Scranton, PA, Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, Niagara Falls, NY, Niagara Falls, ON, and back.....
Off to Montreal, QC tonight.....
Drove about 1500 miles for a couple of games of golf. Chased north by 50 degree temperatures and 30mph winds. One week too early.
Manhattan NY, not a bad place to drive.
Considering the difficult weather in the Midwest and East this winter, one would have been hard-pressed to find a better place to be than Phoenix, AZ. Beautiful weather all winter.
Columbus Farmers Market NJ
No place to go.
I love my windmill
Visiting my daughter near Minneapolis. My 3597LMTHD can't get a traffic signal here. My 755T never had a problem getting a signal here, so it must be a problem related to the HD receiver.
My last trip was to Camp Dodge in Johnston, IA. Not very far, but it was the last place I've been. Monday I'll be headed off to parts unknown.
Out to a mineral and gem show.
..finally, after the long winter. Looking forward to some GPS usage soon.
Going to Cheverly, MD for my grandson's 15th birthday.
looking for tools
Nevada, Arizona, Louisiana, and Florida
Took a trip to Wickenburg, AZ from Prescott AZ. We decided to 4x4 it back home taking Lake Pleasant to Crown King using forests roads. My Garmin even had the proper off-roads to take.
I love the POIs, even for just local driving. It is amazing how many drug stores are within just 2 miles of hoe.
To the daughter's house and back. Of course I know the way, but I like to have the turns announced and the ETA displayed.
to find our way to the 18th Annual Southwest Police Motorcycle Training and Competition in Vegas. Wow! Can those police officers ride.
Nothing major during the past week, mainly work and shopping. All good and appreciating the improving weather!
Very boring, just local.
Using my new 2598LMTHD
Not here on the east of canada. Blizzard last week, 50mm (what ever that is in English), of snow, just about rain since even Noah has said enough. 17 degrees C today. The deer finished eating my cedar tree yesterday. Spring ? bah humbug, even the GPS cannot see through this weather. """
...in Chicago when driving to work today.
And we're headed towards May.
Beautiful weather on Saturday and a new camera, so I took a ride down the BRP to give it a work out.
Literally speaking, of course.
I drove to a rock climbing class, where I climbed the practice wall with colored inserts.
Yes, this is intentional.
hanging locally this week......
It will be Iceland in August for a Marylander.
Anything to avoid the long, hot summer.
Finding that despite keeping maps "up to date", the Garmin just is doing a very poor job of keeping current. Next trip, I'll be using my tablet or phone with Google doing my navigation. It works better and I don't have to carry another device.
Don't need to go anywhere now.
Just because it's there.
Looking for blooming trees and saw several idiots in full bloom as well.
Used my nuvi 760 and it actually steered me around a problem.
gps units with traffic updates are worth every penny
removes a lot of stress seeing more accurate arrival times
for lab tests.
Day trip to Lancaster Pa with a group of friends
