New police officer held photo enforcement dragon cam.

Since the cop cam move, a poi file will be tough for these.

You would think in this day and age a company like this would invest more in a better web presence.

The future's here

We are on our own.

The new amerika

The reality today is that citizens are presumed guilty regardless if we are inside or outside your home. The government just hasn't caught you yet.

You speed. You don't stop for 5 seconds at every stop sign. You smoke. You use salt and some even too much sugar. A customized Cadillac and large pickup trucks are called "rolling probable cause" in my local police department lingo.

Already the USA incarcerates more people than any other country and the government continuously looks for more ways to arrest and ticket the people.

The land where the wolves, er, I mean, politicians, are encouraged to pull the wool over the sheep's eyes.

Because our educational system has been so infused with so much unadulterated crap the kids on whole come out knowing less than when they entered.

I can only see where someone is speeding, a citation is generated, the offender isn't stopped, issued the citation and 5 minutes later some kind of incident occurs where the speeder kills someone.

Can't you imagine the litigation, " but for the offender wasn't stopped and GIVEN the citation and summons, the death of <?> wouldn't have occurred, so the officer was negligent in their duties of protecting the public in The matter of safety. The generation of the citation proves the officer had the opportunity to resolve a safety issue and rather CHOSE TO SIT AND GIVE OTHER CITATIONS.'

Betcha this is going to become one sticky wicket in time.

In a lot of states, mine included, the use of lasers for traffic enforcement is prohibited. In fact, in my state only the state police are allowed to use radar.

Can shoot through tress, etc.

oh yeah, that's not going to increase litigation any? SMH...Amerika indeed!

As opposed to my state where LIDAR is becoming more prevalent. Fortunately jammers are not illegal here.

we can't have it both ways

Most of you complain, including myself that you have no problem if a police officer issues a ticket. And want no part of of a camera issued ticket.
The Dragon Camera is a camera ticket issued by the officer that is holding the camera.
How do you fight that? You can't say, with a camera you can't face your accuser, the officer just shows up if necessary.

New Miami, OH

Looks like what they started using in New Miami, OH after the previous system they used was shut down by the courts. http://www.wlwt.com/news/new-miami-brings-back-speed-cameras...

Local LEO--

Here in Silicon Valley a number of local agencies are using LIDAR (Stalker XS Police LIDAR) now, both motorcycle officers and patrol cars.

Haven't heard that distinctive sound from my Valentine One yet...

Sounds more like a return to the 1950's to me. mad

Gas prices

At $4 a US gallon, I'm not speeding anywhere... not that I ever do.

Slow down, and enjoy life. It's already going by too fast. Why, I was 35 what seems like just 5 years ago. neutral

Still not enforceable in Virginia

Since in order for a summons to be valid in VA it has to be posted to your door or delivered by a law enforcement official in person. US mail does not count.

But the fact they don't pull you over is telling. Once again not about safety but revenue generation. The officer that pulls you and issues you a ticket gives you the opportunity to reflect on your behavior and maybe slow down. The photo enforced speeder has no idea he was caught and continues on his way ignorant of his misdeed.

lidar...very popular down here in TX

The first time my Escort went off on it...was memorable. Fortunately for me, it was in a north TX town known for its very shiny, always new model, patrol cars.

Closer to home, they use them from motorcycles, SUVs, cars, segways, and bicycles. I wondered how the last two worked until i saw a cop jump in the middle of the road to stop someone coming (school zone speed) towards him.
