No we don't make as big a deal out of it. We do have the tradition type meal, but at our house we usually have ham as well.

Actually about the only differences between the Canadian and US Thanksgiving is that, of course, ours is a month and half earlier than your and us folks up North have yet to figure out how to turn ours into a 4 day weekend. Only a 3 day for us.
Other than that it's a big meal, turkey for most, but also ham and of course lots of family around. We live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia and the only way on or off is by ferry. Thanksgiving weekend is as busy for the ferry service as Christmas and New Years so, yes it's a big deal for Canadians just like in the US.

Cruisers
We just finished a 17 day Panama Canal cruise and on the last day we were talking with some fellow passengers who were heading home to deal with Thanksgiving. While they were looking forward to the holiday and the family meal it was a bit overwhelming to have it immediately after the end of the cruise! Still, I'm sure they had a good time when they got home.
We had a fair number of Canadians onboard and, as always, they were a good group.

A happy Thanksgiving. It is actually a nice sunny day today and I'll be stuffing myself with turkey today. Again in November when I'm in Mexico and they do the American Thanksgiving there.

Had family dinner yesterday with our kids, their spouses and grandkids.
Today watched Kitchener Oktoberfest Parade did some gardening, helped my son at his house.
