I have a Nuvi 765T that has been working very slow for awhile and I finally got around to looking into it. It takes forever to lock on a satellite and pushing buttons has a long lag time. I looked at the firmware I have on the unit, and the GPS is 2.90 and the DSP is 2.40. At the top of the screen it says software version 4.00.

Does anyone know where I can find and buy a new ORIGINAL Garmin Battery for a model 205W? I don't know if I should trust those that are sold on Ebay. Does anyone even know what the full specs are for a this battery?

I was having a problem updating my new map for my Garmin Nuvi 205W. I would get to step 3 (installing the map) and it would stop at 14 min left. I tried to install this 4 times and the same results each time. I finally got the map to install and wanted you to know what I did to get it to install. I unplugged my USB printer and USB mouse.

I have an 855 and a 3790LMT. Doing a simulation drive, I find that the routing is different between the two. The 855 will keep me on a toll road until it let me know to exit, which is the way I want to go. The 3790LMT takes me on a toll road and exit to a frontage road and than back on to another toll road, which is not the way I want to go.

Hi , I would like to know if anyone who has the nuvi 3790 lmt has noticed a difference in what their car speedometer shows and the nuvi ,mine shows a difference of 5 to 10 klms hr for instance if my car speed is 100 klm hr the nuvi shows I am doing 110 klm,I have a 2011 Kia rondo and asked the dealership from where I bought it from if the car speedometer could be wrong they said unlikely ,and 10 k

Since as we are on the topic of differences in models I would like to ask about route planning in new models. On the 750 760 or all 700 series it seems there is the route planning feature for route optimization. Very good for people in sales. I have been looking in the manuals of some of the newer Garmin models 1300 and 1400 and I don't see the route planning functions.

On my brand new 1490T when I edit the map symbol of any of my favorites, the symbol on the map remains the default tiny square, even though the new symbol I have chosen is shown on the screen that appears when the new symbol is chosen. (I have already set my "Home" location). Here is the sequence I am using from the home screen: Where To/Favorites/All Favorites/Home/Press for More.

Can you upload Routes from mapsource to the garmin 2360 gps?

Are there any other source that I can get map updates for my garmin 750 and 260W? I will have to buy separate updates. They wont give me a price for my two registered devices.

Problem:
I've created a CSV file with over 200 POIs. It validates when I upload it using Garmin's POI Loader on my nuvi 1340, but when I scroll through the content it only shows 12 screens of 4 lines each (48 POIs) on the display.

Question/s:
Why does not all POIs show and what can I do to make them?

I have the 3790 and I find that often when I push the input screen and get the little "Beep" feedback, that sometimes it is loud and other times it is not so loud. Sounds sort of muffled.

Anyone else experience this ? I seem to recall the same sort of thing with a couple other Nuvi units I had.

Just wondering if I have a defective unit or is it fairly normal.

I'm having a hard time getting JV to work on my "new" Nuvi. I got it for this very feature & am having no luck. So, those of you that got it to work in simulated mode, could you give me a few pointers? Such as:

1. Does JV work in 3D or 2D, or both?
2. After putting the 750MB jvc file in the Garmin>jvc folder, do you also copy the old D1279060A.sum too?

So I have spent my day off trying to get poi on my nuvi 3790. I am going on a motorcycle trip and fuel is a problem. I need to have all fuel stations to be displayed on the gps so I can see what is comin up. I cannot figure this one out. Maybe someone in the community has some input or advice on what i am missing. Thanks.

I just bought a Garmin refurbished 765T, when I was looking thru the folders, in the Garmin>Text folder, the only English English files were:

British_English.gtt
British_English_Prx.gtt
British_English_Trf.gtt

Nowhere were there any American English files. Is this right? would other Nuvi 765T owners please comment.

I've got a couple of lower end Garmins that I've had for several years now. I would like to upgrade to the high end unit. If you were to buy a new unit, which would you buy and why? Also, I got the Garmin email too. I will definitely wait until the 24th to see if there is some new product announcement. In lieu of a new device being announced, what would you get?

Can anyone give me a hand with this please? I have the Garmin Nuvi 255W. I am going on a 9 day road trip across country so I kind of need to make sure I do this right! I have Microsoft Streets & Trips 2011, MapPoint 2011 as well as Microsoft AutoRoute 2011 installed on my computer.
