I purchased the app for $0.99 and the complete NA lifetime map download that includes Canada and Mexico for $9.99 for a total cost of $10.98.

I got everything I wanted including photo real junction view and panorama terrain view that both were no cost options with the map download option.

Just thought I would post info on my new garmin 2598lmt. I bought this at costco and was surprised that it had no speed camera/red light cameras. It did have school zone warnings.
I set up garmin express and saw that they offered a 1 time trial offer for red light cameras. I tried to down load it but it would not down load.

I contacted garmin tech support they said:

Last Sunday I drove from Hamilton Ontario to Brampton Ontario with my both nuvi 1490 and 3597 plugged in and navigation ON. Both devices gave me different ETA. Nuvi 1490 showed me arrival 10 minutes earlier but at the end 1490 went 5 minutes up and 3597 went 5 minutes down. Both selected same route.

I just thought I would let people know the problem I am having with Garmin, This is a thread that I started on the Garmin forum.

It's been a long time since I posted my last forum. I try to update Nuvi 200w to latest map version being 2014.40. Internal storage was filling up, so I grab 4GB SD card from my Android phone and format it to make it usable. However, I accidentally format my internal storage. Now all the system files are gone. Is there anyway to restore these files and folders back?

So I have my Garmin 3597 and I have a Android and my Wife has an iPhone. I noticed that when I have my droid connected via Bluetooth to the Garmin I see an app called Tracker. I tried it and it's kinda cool. However, when I connect my Wife's iPhone to the Garmin, I don't see that same application. Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation that Apple enforces?

Since I don't have an Apple iPhone, I have no experience with Garmin Urban Guidance. Can anybody here tell me how well it works?

Having some issues with "Change Map Symbol" for my POIs on my unit. Some of the POIs have the default black square icon and some do not OR as it seems anyway. If there was a default icon it can be changed, but you have to zoom-in a step or two for some to show. Could it be that even though they do not seem to show that they will when in travel mode?

I'm vaguely interested in replacing my 265WT (and I have lifetime maps) with something newer and better but not really finding anything compelling with Garmin. The 55LMT has a larger screen but not sure that it has much else. Even the screen resolution is the same. Surprising that Garmin has not increased screen resolution all these years.

Was going to call this stuck in Rudolph, WI but didn't want to confise the subject.

I just bought a 2595 and I would like to install the rest area poi file. My question is do I need to be a "active" member to get this file.
I did try to download and I got a file that is about 164k and has is a excel file but I am not sure as I could see no way of getting the sound file for it.
The file I downloaded was

Hi, I have euro maps on my Sd card and the NA on the nuvi drive. The nuvi drive has two large files gmapprom and gmapprom1 which i assume are according to the map info, na 2014.40and 2014.20. The problem is these don't get deleted when I try to instal newer maps. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

DOES THIS UNIT SUPPORT RED LIGHT CAMERAS? IF SO WHERE CDO I GET?

Is it possible to put the POI files on the sd car which holds the current map?

I normally use the Europe map and find that when I load the USA sd card and upload POI files using POI loader, the files are put in main memory along with gpx files from every other country. It would be great to have just the relevant POIs pop up when seaching rather than every POI list available in main memory.

I need to ask for advice again.

I have all the POI's I want installed on my 855 including icons. Icons are set at 2MB in the BMP format and I can see all icons on the screen. All A1 OK

Now I know that my 3790 uses jpeg for icons and WAV files for sound and I believe that the icons should only be 1MB in size.

I noticed a lot of POI files for such things as Walmarts, Truck stops,etc. When loaded on my Garmin, how exactly do I locate a specific store, etc. Does it pop up anywhere or do I have to go into a file. Help would be appreciated. Thanks

Until recently I had put complete faith in my device, but a week ago events left me puzzled. Without going into details, the route Garmin chose was completely inane. For a 60 mile trip, it was 40-50% longer than the route I would have selected, and made no sense at all. I updated the software approximately June 1, and as far as I can tell the maps are stored on a micro SD card.

Has anyone had experience with the Garmin GPS 18x USB device? Don't know if I would use it, but ...
