I got http://www.gpsinformation.org/jack/cruise/cruise-a.html for my recent Mexico trip (Cancun & Akumal areas), and they were horrible. Most of the time, my Zumo was not tracking properly on the streets & there's a severe lack of POI info.

Just a quick note to let y'all know my bad experience.

I purchased a 1 GB SD card with the expressed purpose to download the new maps to. But I had second thoughts. How much memory does it take to load the new City Navigator 2008 maps to a C530? Is it possible to delete voice files, vehicle files to the minimum to clear the C530 memory enough to load the US and Ontario Canada maps directly to the GPSr?

Hi - I know it takes a long time for my Garmin Nuvi (370) to acquire the new satellite positions are a long plane ride. I am heading from NY to Venice and would like to be able to use the Garmin as soon as possible. Is there any way to make the acquistion faster. Does the Garmin recognize a change in home location, or, as I fear, is that just a waypoints like all others.

Hi, I have nuvi 750 and sometimes prior to using my GPS I do a GPS simultion for my route on my nuvi 750. Is there any possible way to controle the speed on route simulation. I believe this feature is available in Tom Toms, but I cannot seem to figure it out on mine.

Garmin stock is selling for around seventy dollars. Down from a hundred twenty five a short time ago. I hope this is not an indication of the direction the company is going.
Does anyone have knowledge of the company that would possibly explain this, except for the tech sector being weak at the moment?

Ok, I know there is a lot of hype surrounding recent upgrades to MSN Direct Version 2. My question is for those of us who purchased their Garmins (especially Nuvi 7xx series) without an MSN receiver included. Is this upgrade worth going out and purchasing an MSN traffic receiver for $125.00? The 7xx series does not come with MSN receivers.

My Nuvi 660 has an auto setting to conserve battery power by blacking the screen after a given period of inactivity. Can if be set up to shut down automatically?

hi i am new GPS user nuvi750. i set my gps in pedestrian mode while walking and after i enter in to my car i forget to change to automobile. it navigate me all the way in local road and some time it ask me to enter in to one way. after a while i got upset and try to get into highway which i know very well, it ask to take the exit immediately. i got frustration and switched off the gps.

does the c330 accept log. lat. numbers,?havent figured out how to do that yet.or if you can

New 650 user and so far I really like the unit. I was wondering about one thing though. As I’m driving I notice many POIs and I was wondering if there is any screen or list available to show what these places are? I mean other then going under Menu – Where to - Food – etc?

Does anyone else use a GPS chartplotter for boating? I see that others have posted boat ramp POIs, so I assume that there are other boaters here. I just bought a Garmin GPSMAP 430s (inland) for my boat and was wondering if I can find boating information just like the street information on this site.

Can the POI Icons listed on this site be used on Garmin 260? If so, How can I download the POI loader? Thanks.

i have a c330 will a sd card from my magellan color work with the 330 i think its a 64 meg card

I just joined and would like to know how can I download red light/speed cameras to my nuvi 350?

do i have to wait the few weeks to be a considered as an active user or can this be achieved by posting quite frequently in say....a week or 1 1/2?

Can i edit the names of custom POI files to my liking?? Does the nuvi 200 support custom sound files? If so, would i add that the same way as i did with the icons and actual POI files??? Thanx

I've noticed that some POI's require you to select the type download you're requesting, are ya'll familiar with these POI's and can you tell me what file I should download using a Zumo550? Below is an example:

I was wondering if there is a way to search for POI files for the chicagoland area. Thanx
