Question about GPS simulation nuvi 750

Hi, I have nuvi 750 and sometimes prior to using my GPS I do a GPS simultion for my route on my nuvi 750. Is there any possible way to controle the speed on route simulation. I believe this feature is available in Tom Toms, but I cannot seem to figure it out on mine.

Thanks

Simulator speed

I too would love to know this answer. I await those that know posts.

Speed on the 260

I don't think there is a way to control the speed, what I noticed in my 260 that on city streets it goes slow around 35mph once it is on a highway it goes as much as 70mph.

Can't do it.

No way to speed up the simulation, which in my opinion makes it a worthless feature. How can you possibly simulate a 600 mile trip in real time?????

You can't speed it up;

You can't speed it up; however, you can cycle through the "turn-by-turn" directions by pressing the "Next Turn" button in the lower right corner of the screen while in simulation mode.

You don't get to see the pretty pictures of the vehicle icon tooling down the streets, but you do get to see the routing that the unit has chosen.

Hope that helps.

Yep. That's all I know. At

Yep. That's all I know. At leat it helps you know the route.

I agree

I agree, quite worthless to watch the trip go down.

It only makes sense this way for very short trip.

You Can...

You can cycle through the turn by turn in normal mode too, so I don't see what you gain by simulating it.

While it may not be exactly

While it may not be exactly what you want, it does serve some useful purpose. Personally, I have used it when testing alert sound files quite a bit.

I just don't get why anyone

I just don't get why anyone would say, being able to control gps simulation speed would be a useless feature. Like you said, I definitely do not want to see a 600 mile simulation in real time. That is why, I think it would be good if there is a way to control simulation speed so that you can watch the entire 600 mile trip in just a few minutes...just my opinion smile

Speed Simulation

It definitely needs a speed setting available to the user. I love Google Earths simulation it allows you to preview your trip in minutes not hours. I find the way it is now to be a a waste of time and programming.

Now we have 2 reasons for this Feature

Used for testing can be useful.

But there can be only one real reason for this feature IMHO. It's there for marketing considerations. ie You can simulate your route (forgetting to mention at real time) from the comfort of your home...

I didn't say....

I didn't say that having an acceleration feature would be useless, I said that the simulator as it is now is mostly useless.
