Just ordered a 265t and have a few questions. Ran search on the 265t and didn't get much info.

1. How much internal memory?
2. Max micro SD card size?
3. What can I put on SD card? POI's? etc.

is there a way, perhaps using MapSource, to convert a track to a route?

in other words, say I clear my trip log, and then drive a very specific route, making use of local shortcuts, that the nuvi may not utilize.

when I get to my destination, can I then take that track, and save it, and then somehow upload it the nuvi as a custom route, so that I can use it again and again?

Just purchased the Garmin Mobile XT. I was wondering what the users here feel about it? So far so good

Will a Nuvi 360 accept software from another Garmin or is the software interchangable between units? Has anyone ever tried copying software from one unit to another?

My Nuvi 360 software does not support routes and higher versions do. Can I copy the sofware from one unit to another since they are like mini computers, like changing versions of Windows on a computer?

Does Nuvi 760 lose signal when you drive in downtown near high rise buildings? I will appreciate your feedback.

I just purchased my very 1st gps system and it is the 780. Just getting used to it's features, but one that stands out is this "safty camera.." (red light) feature that im now interested in. Can my model use this???

has anyone had problems with the pacific pride file,i loaded it into my 255w and was not even close to finding the right one nearest to me(and i do have the unit set right),i actually had a backup of a previous download from about 8 months ago and put it into the unit and it worked great and found all the close ones and then some,thanks

Sorry for the stupid question. But is my 760 supposed to have spoken street names as I approach turns? I noticed in the Amazon add there was a check in that column.

Is there are way to view the custom POIs on the map view ? It would be nice to see the POI icons on the map while navigating.

When I put my Nuvi 350 in the pedestrian mode it does not give me a pedestrian, I still have a car on the screen. Where do I get a pedestrian icon?

I own a Garmin Nuvi 255W and am satisfied with it but the 255W is limited in that routes may not be downloaded to the 255W from the Garmin MapSource software. One must select way points as "via points" to create a route of sorts.

I have been thinking about getting a receiver and subscribing to MSN direct. However the receiver is expensive and I don't know how much I will use it. Does anyone have experience.

Nuvi 760

For some unknown reason, I decided to "tweak" one of Garmin's icons. I downloaded it from the garage and then tried to open it in a graphic program. I thought I owned every Macintosh graphic utility and program known to man, but this icon is tough. I tried Photoshop, Aperture, Graphic Converter and a bunch more including Canon and Sony Camera programs, but no luck.

I just plotted a route in mapquest and it gives me the option to send it to my GPS. Will this feature work with my Nuvi 350? If so, will the route show up in my favorites? Will all my other custom POI's work with this route?

This is my first Nuvi, actually for my wife, that I will be using on a regular basis. It arrived today with software 2.3 and 2008 maps.

I would like to have the map scale on the screen and have good routing. It seems that I got an "old" unit, but that may not be bad - but it looks like to register I have to upgrade the software.

In general, it seems to work real well.

However, I created a route, and made use of the avoid button, to make MapQuest alter the route shown on the map, to avoid turning at an intersection, in favor of one a little further down the road.

MapQuest made the adjustment just the way I wanted, so I saved it, and then used the Send button to send it to my 765T.

Will my Garmin c330 work with any traffic update services?

Does anyone know what is this file GarminError.xml or it's purpose? It is located on my Nuvi 200w in the \debug\ folder.

Could this meant there is something wrong with my GPS or is this normal for the GPS to generate this error file ?

While on vacation Thanksgiving week, my Garmin C530 somehow jumped into a system log mode. The display showed several rows of text and numbers. I should have written down an example of the text but I didn't. In any case a series of BACKs eventually returned me to the map display.
