Putting saved Favorites in 760

Saved the gpx file from the old 680.
Trying to copy and paste it into the 760 garmin/gpx folder, but it will not show the favorites.
Is there a trick to it?

TIA

Change the file name

I assume it's the current.gpx file you are copying. Try changing the file name to something else .gpx before copying to the 760. If this works, you can then delete the renamed file from the 760, otherwise, upon reboot (or master reset) it may always reload its contents to favorites even if you try and delete all your favorites using other options.

Worked, thanks.

765T

I was unable to get my favorrites from the 760 to the 765T I wonder if your suggestion will work for me.

Renaming worked

Mine worked when I renamed the saved file to old.gpx and copy/pasted into the new gpx folder on the nuvi.
How is the 765 lane assist feature?
I wish Garmin would let people with different models upgrade instead of buying a new one. It will backfire on them in the long run.

lane assist

Thanks I did not have that many favorites so just re-entering them. I just got the unit on Friday so have not been on a highway to see the lane assist yet.

Yes I was wondering why the 760 couldnt technically have the 765T software. Guess its a marketing thing to get more sales.

I do love all the little upgrades they made and got a great deal around black friday online for $350. Could not pass up the deal!

Not selling at Costco.

I got the 760 at Costco for $249 yesterday.
I have learned from experience never to buy a GPS elsewhere. Where else you can return it a year later for money back, if the manufacturer is playing games.
