Upgrade Garmin for Christmas?

Can't go wrong with one of those.

Everyone's needs are different...same with wants.
Therefore, I think it is individual preference. I dont need a MP3 player on my unit. So, it wouldnt be tops on my list. You need to make your own choices by using the comparison chart on the garmin page or by going to your local electronics store. No matter what someone tells you, it comes down to personal choices.

Only someone who knows you and what you expect in a nav device can really answer that.

I'd suggest you make a list of 'must have' and 'want' items along with another column of 'don't ever expect to need" features then use Garmin's website 'comparison' page to shop. There are some major differences between the 600,700 and 800 series Nuvi units and the "T" models only add to the confusion.

I think the 7x5T model is a must. I've been using my 785t and love the lane assist. The only down side is I'm used to XM's traffic info, the MSN direct is so slow to download the data.

It depends whether you want Text-To-Speech, screen size, Bluetooth, etc.

If you want the latest features, the 7x5 series is the way to go.

I would go to gpsmagazine.com and take a look at the buyers guide and reviews for ideas on what you might purchase.

I upgraded my 760 to 765T and 760 going to parents =)

I think any model 255 or above, depening on your needs. I personaly think that after the dust settles, only xx5 and T's will be left. That is just my own thoughts.
