Yesterday I rec'd an email stating there is a map update available.

In the past, folks on here have downloaded these updates only to find glitches and some go back to the older version maps.

If anyone has any feedback on any of these updates, it would be good to know if they are worth downloading or if we should wait 'till they work out the bugs (if any).

I bought one, love it. There are two issues, I cannot eject the GPS (Windows see it but does not show the eject option), MapSource does not see it either. BaseCamp see it but I don't see an option in base camp to load or download from the unit.

Please help

I'm returning my 1490T today. It doesn't appear to be sold anymore. Any suggestions for a comparable replacement (without all of the bugs of course). The new 30/40/50 series seems way to bare bones for the cost.

Last year at about this point the prices for the Lifetime Map Update dropped considerably. Most recent price on Amazon is $63.99 and the electronic version is $64.99. Has anyone seen any lower?

Keep this thread updated with the lowest prices. Last year they went to $59.99 and stuck for awhile but then dropped down to $49.99.

I don't use the Voice Command much at all. Yesterday, when I tried to use it, I found some problems. On some commands, like "Find by name" and "Find City" I get an error response: "This feature is not availalble in American English."

The JCV file that downloaded with the new map on my GPS 3790LMT show D3191030A. Is that the correct JCV file.

I downloaded the new map into my 855 and it seems that I am not getting the JCV. I replace the file with the old D3060030A and it still not working,any suggestion.

I tried several times and each time the POI Loader stops, do anybody have any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong or is there a problem with the loader? garmin 2360LMT

OK folks, this is very weird. Before you think as I would if I saw the above subject, BaseCamp 3.2.2 does not appear in my Windows 7 Control Panel's Programs and Features (the Win7 name for the older MS Add and Remove Programs).

After taking the download 2012.30 using Garmin Lifetime Updater for my 2460LMT I noticed a few things are not working as before the update.

Before the download I had in the JCV folder a file with 457,055kb now I have none, my unit no longer has the Junction View split or whole.

Any suggestions before I call Garmin?

I am trying to get into the Hidden File in my GPS 3790LMT. I uncheck the neccessry file from the Folder option, now how do I get to see the Hidden File. It is where the JCV file is at.

If you're like me and haven't installed BaseCamp on your computer, note that if you choose to install City Navigator North America NT 2012.30 to your computer as well as to your GPS device, that you will have BaseCamp installed to the computer once the update's complete. No wonder the update took extra time to download and install.

I've owned a 3790 Nuvi for close to a year. The only updates I've applied was a POI file of national parks. Lately I've noticed that I'm getting very detailed pictures of buildings. I commute to downtown DC, so I was use to seeing outlines of buildings, but I began to notice that a random selection of buildings appeared in great detail -- windows, doors, etc.

Does anyone know if the Garmin 1350T has free lifetime map updates? How about free traffic updates? Spoken street names? Lane assist? Just considering buying one online and the site does not give me enough info on these questions. Thanks for any answers you can provide. What model does have all these features if the above model# does not?

A couple new voice updates for my nuvi 750, 855 and 295W via WebUpdater, so I assume that all Garmin devices with Emily and Daniel have the update available.

Emily: Changes from version 2.30 to version 2.40
Daniel: Changes from version 2.00 to version 2.10

Both updates are identical:

Improved pronunciation of highways containing a letter followed by 3 numbers.

I haven't downloaded it yet, but the lifetime updater says it is available. The download started but I aborted it because I prefer to use the older method of downloading since the new lifetime updater hangs at .05% when installing the computer files.

Having a problem in loading wav files on a 1450. Using the latest POI loader with Sox,exe( 14.0.1) inserted into the same folder as the POI loader. When using the POI loader to send the file to the GPS I get no indication of Sox involvement in the process. I just get a message that Poi loader successfully loaded the file.

First day with the 2595 and I have most (some) of it figured out...but...Is there a way to have the custom poi's show up on maps without all the pre-loaded poi's being visible? Thanks for any help!

There's maps for North America (City Navigator® North America NT) and maps for South America (City Navigator® South America NT and )... but are there maps for Central America?

Any suggestions for Belize, Costa Rica, etc?
