3490LMT Build Quality

So I went to Best Buy this weekend and was considering upgrading from my 765T. I was quickly disappointed by the build quality. It felt like a very light cheap piece of plastic. I thought it was more like the glass 3790 model was but I guess they changed it (maybe due to glare?). I also punched in (and simulated a route) that was over 150 miles and it took almost 2 minutes to calculate this? I really liked the resolution and the software additions compared to the 7x5 series but felt it maybe too soon to jump on it. I know there is an 18 page discussion on it at gpspassion.com but I finally got to play around with this unit myself and found myself putting on the brakes on the way to checkout. The firmware was v.2.90 so maybe they've updated since they've shipped it to stores but after reading about the 3D traffic issues, etc., it maybe too soon for me. Just my two cents...

GTM60 3 HD Traffic Receiver

I don't mean to post all over this site but in a nutshell, I tried the GTM60 and sent it back to garmin, it just didn't work, very hard to get 'good' traffic data - Then on my last 2 2500 series Garmins (thought it was me) the GTM26 receiver that came with the units, was on 'my' routes just as bad and the most troubling aspect was when you looked at traffic problems it was on the last received data, so if you did not receive an update, you had to look at the bars on the traffic screen closely you would assume that the data was up to date, no, it might have been from the last 'good' signal. I've now sent off for a Tom Tom 2535M Live for $209.00 from Amazon, Apologies to all if I have dribbled across the posts here.
Anyway pleased be warned.

Yes, you have...

You let us know your displeasure not only here in a few posts, but all over the web it seems...

Once per site is enough, don't you think?

Humble Apologies

Please accept my humble apologies, I did not with malice try and deluge the negatives on the Garmins. I shall be more guarded on any further negative comments again.
