Duplicate POI File Showing?

On my Nuvi 660 I'm confused as to why I am showing a duplicate POI.
On the Nuvi 660,in the Garmin\POI folder I have a POI Factory Redlight.GPI file. When I check the extras it appears there and functions properly.
I also have a 8GB SD card in the unit.
That has several POI's on it in the Garmin\POI folder.
Those POI's both display and work properly.
On that same SD card I have a separate folder that has the same POI Factory Redlight.GPI file. It is in a folder named POI Factory Red Light Cameras AND IS NOT IN THE GARMIN\POI folder.
With the SD card inserted and I go into extras I see a duplicate entry for the POI Factory RedLight POI.
If I remove the card there is only 1 entry.
I don't know why the Nuvi is reading it twice since I always believed for it to be recognized it had to be in the Garmin\POI folder.
I realize by removing it from the SD card the issue is solved, however I am curious to why this occurs.
Any thoughts on this?
Because
The unit sees multiple GPI files. Is it in the \GARMIN folder?

Duplicates
Remove the Redlight.GPI from the Garmin.

Not In Garmin Folder
The unit sees multiple GPI files. Is it in the \GARMIN folder?
No it's not in the Garmin Folder.
Did some experimenting, the file was in a folder named "POI Facrory Redlight Cameras", file was named "POI Facory Redlights.GPI".
By taking it out of the folder and moving it just to the SD Cards root directory I NO LONGER had the duplication. I have no idea why putting it in a named folder would cause this. As mentioned it is NOT in the Garmin Folder.
@juggernaut
Thanks for your suggestion but I prefer to have the redlight cameras on the Nuv so I am always alerted for the redlight cameras.
Sometimes I remove the SD card when I don't need the POI files that are on the SD card.

Backup on SD
When I bought my nuvi 200 ,in 2008 i think it was, I made a backup of my Nuvi200 and put it on the SD card.
The folders was like this on my SD: Garmin nuvi>Garmin (the bacup). My nuvi found theese pois who was in the backup. Garmin nuvi>Garmin>Poi>xxx.gpi.
Havent tried it later but was kind of suprised back then.
