I recently purchased a used 2597 because my 57LM quit working and is not repairable. I updated everything on the 2597 and it works well except that the speed limit is missing. I have tried reinstalling the maps, hard resets and anything else I could think of, but the speed limit is still missing. The memory is nearly, but not completely full. I did not get a memory error when updating.

How do I do this on the NUVI265W

I do not like mounting my GPS to the windshield, and I don’t like leaving the GPS and/or any of its accessories in sight when the vehicle isn’t occupied. For me, that means some sort of dash mount to hold the GPS suction cup mount. I have had success with that method with several different dash mounts and GPS units.

In attempting to update my nuvi 765T to 2022.25, I got an error message from Garmin Express about the new maps having too much information to be installed on the 765T. I've been using an 8 GB card for map updates for some time, that card is just a hair over half-full, and the update to 2022.20 had gone flawlessly.

Does anyone here have, or have experience with, Garmin's Inreach Satellite Communication service?

It's compatible with several Garmin handheld GPSr's. It requires a monthly subscription plan with varying costs depending on the level of service.

When you know enough to be dangerous, but not enough to recover....

My Garmin (2460LMT) now boots to an empty map. The screen shows my car, blue line traces for my recent travel, and POI icons (like Home), but no street map.

I just had a chat with Garmin Support and they said that if there is a problem running Garmin Empress or POI Loader on Windows 11, they will fi it.

Is there a way hide the name of a waypoint and just show the icons? I’ve created a bunch of POIs and want to take some screenshots that just show the icons. If I zoom out it works but I’m looking for a way to change it in the settings. Thanks!

RESOLVED: BAD (NEW) SD CARD!

I updated my maps a few months back and Voice Command > Find Address stopped working.
Error says "This feature is not available for American English"

Since then, I can't get any maps to load except for CN North American NT 2022.20 Foursquare, which doesn't do me any good.
I have tried Change Map, Reinstall Map, changing cables, installing an SD card.

Garmin recently released V6.60 for the Garmin GPSMAP 64s. It's been a very long time since the firmware has been updated.

After updating Garmin Express to V 7.10.0.0, I am getting a strange software update notice on just one of my two nuvi 3597's. When I click the "View Details" button, the software is identified as Navigon Version 2.10, Initial Release, File size 1.27 MB, Install time 1 min.

Anyone know what this software update is? Or why it is offered on one of my 3597's but not the other one?

Since Microsoft have updated my version of windows to 11 Extra POI EDitor doesn't show the diacritics anymore. Am I the only one having that issue?

I downloaded Arches NP POIs from:

Here's a couple of entries in the file:

I understand the first 2 fields (lat/lon or the other way around). The third field contains POI names.

My BC-30 doesn't display any more. Anyone else have this problem?

Another problem I have with my DS66. After installing the Garmin Drive app, the navigation volume drops to less than half than without the app with no apparent way to control it. Anyone else bumped into this? Thank you.

Although Garmin discontinued support for Mapsource years ago, many here continue to use the program.

I still use Mapsource for quick file edits or simple viewing. I also prefer the track editing features over those in Basecamp.

I thought we had written all there was about the DriveSmart 86 but then Up Jumped the Devil.

Has anyone had success connecting a ds66, ds76, or ds86 with a bc30 backup cam? Garmin documentation and tech support say the two are compatible but I've had no luck. It appears during setup that the DriveSmart only wants to connect with the bc40. Garmin support was no help.
