DS 66 Volume

Another problem I have with my DS66. After installing the Garmin Drive app, the navigation volume drops to less than half than without the app with no apparent way to control it. Anyone else bumped into this? Thank you.

None of those topics have any effect on the low volume. Thanks

My DS86 doesn't have that

My DS86 doesn't have that problem, but I normally connect the GPS audio to the Honda stereo.

It responds to the controls normally in both modes.

You might want to try the vehicle stereo to see if there is a difference in how the controls work.

And as usual, check for updates for DS66 and Drive.

I guess you read my post on a complete factory reset. That is a drastic move that makes you do all of the setup again. If you elect to use this route, do a backup with Garmin Express so you can restore your Saved Places and such.

Good Luck.

Solved (mostly)

After installing Garmin Drive app, there are changes to the bluetooth settings. On the settings specifically for the DriveSmart 66 there are three boxes: calls, audio, and contact access. I disabled the "audio" box and all works perfectly now. I appreciate the effort from all on this helpful forum. As a side note, the DriveSmart 66 is even better than my DriveSmart 61. It was worth the upgrade.
