I've decided that it's time to upgrade from my faithful NUVI 2555LMT.

I'm looking at the Drivesmart 55 & 65 with Traffic. I would appreciate a bit of feedback.

-First off, I only use the GPS for long road trips.
-Voice Activation would be nice.
-Have no need for Bluetooth to interact with my phone, but might be nice to interact with my hearing aids, but not essential.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 500. One of the modes is bicycling. Does that have all of the features of Garmin Cycle Map North America?

I like to know how Garmin user feels about the vehicle suction cup mount. Do you think it is up to the mark? Does your suction cup stay while you are driving? I have tried many ways to fix the suction cup but it never stays on the dash and the GPS fall on the ground.

Anyone else find this version to be worse than the last one on the "Road ahead" feature?

OK, I'm dealing with a nuvi 2689. I had previously used the device in a 2012 Lincoln MKX that had an accessory outlet that was off if the ignition was off. I'm pretty sure that if I had used the steps to turn the Garmin OFF (holding the power button and awaiting the OFF prompt) the 2689 did not power up when I restarted the car.

Somehow with all the tinkering with map update 2023.20 on my old nuvi 755T I can no longer get it to power up on battery or through the USB port. It does power up through the powered cradle and seems to work properly. But as soon as I unplug it from the cradle, it goes dark and will not power back up except through the cradle.

New map is up!

I have been charging my Garmin Nuvi 500 and Zumo XT in the house recently before using them on internal battery power for bike rides. I noticed that the Zumo XT didn't last as long as I hoped on this morning's ride. I started doing a bit more research and, at the risk of pointing out the obvious, I found out that not all Garmin Vehicle Power Cables are created equally.

As some here may recall, I have been using my Garmin Zumo XT on my e-bike. Now that I am using the vehicle power cable and a 12 volt power supply in the house, I am wondering how long I should charge it before use.

I have a Garmin zumo XT on which I have installed the Rest Areas with Restrooms custom POI file. I then added the custom search "Rest Area" to the options in the Up Ahead feature expecting data from the installed custom POI file to be displayed in the Up Ahead results but there isn't any change from what I saw when the custom POI file was not installed.

Can anyone point to a link explaining what the various icons Garmin uses along a route mean? On most routes there is a black flag, similar to what you might find on a golf course and usually on a corner. Yesterday saw a new one, an indented circle. Hovering/clicking? over the icon does nothing.

G'Day Mates, I have a pair of 3597LMT's that currently have 8GB SD cards installed. On both units, the current SD Cards contain map data. I want to increase the SD Card size as a hedge against the ever increasing new map sizes. I am a bit leery of just inserting a new card and downloading new maps. Has anyone successfully upsized their SD Cards when their old ones contained map data?

Its been four months since Map City Navigator North America 2023.10 (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/52087) was released. Hopefully we'll see an update soon.

Is it possible to project the Garmin map my DS65 produces to the map Apple Play would show. I do not have "data" on my iPhone so it can not produce a map unless I am in a WiFi area.

I brought my DriveLuxe 51 in the house today to update the POI files and noticed that it had an alert for a software update. I let the update proceed and it installed software version 6.70. That was kind of a surprise for this old of a device.

When I open a speed or rlc file, I get a script error notice.

I have a Garmin GPS that I use with the GTM60 HD Digital Traffic Receiver. Lately, I have stopped getting the data from the HD Radio Broadcast system.

I have the Drivesmart 55. It comes with a traffic cable to receive Garmin traffic. However, I swapped it out with the GTM-60 cable which gives better traffic and some weather info. Then of course there is the smartphone enabled Garmin Live App which gives more detail on weather, traffic, along with fuel prices, and other notifications.

Over at the site https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mac-windows-software... there are an abundance of people having server communication errors with GE version 7.13.1.0. I find it strange that no one here reports any similar issue. Many on the other forum are from Europe.
