Drivesmart x5 vs. x6 Series

I have the Drivesmart 55. I was in Best Buy the other day and was playing around with the Drivesmart 86. It seems (besides the main Where To & Map screen that changed graphics) that the voice command (OK Garmin) no longer has a LIST of commands from the x5 > x6 series. It used to say, "say a command" but it looks to be reengineered with no menu list and perhaps a different way in asking for things. Has anyone upgraded between the two series by chance?

I'm going to CES this year and curious to see if there might be a x7 series.

Garmin: GPSIII / StreetPilot / StreetPilot Color Map / StreetPilot III / StreetPilot 2610 / GPSMAP 60CSx / Nuvi 770 / Nuvi 765T / Nuvi 3490LMT / Drivesmart 55 / GPSMAP 66st * Pioneer: AVIC-80 / N3 / X950BH / W8600NEX

No detour, but still an improvement

I switched from a DS55 to a DS66.

Where Voice Command (DS55) vs. OK Garmin (DS66) is concerned, this is how things fare out:

The worst part of OK Garmin (it will also respond to "Hey Garmin") is that you cannot request a detour with just your voice.

The best part about OK Garmin is you can combine a POI/Address + location, such as "Hey Garmin, take me to 123 Main Street near Dallas Texas". It's the combo stuff that really sets OK Garmin apart from Voice Command.

You can usually get most requests out in a single phrase, such as "OK Garmin take me home", and can do this even when the acknowledgement chime sounds (yes you can talk right over it). With Voice Command, going home is always a five step process (Voice Command spoken by you, wait for acknowledgement, "Say a command" spoken by Garmin, wait for microphone to activate, "Go Home"). With OK Garmin it's just a single step.

Not good that the detour request isn't in OK Garmin, but it is better in the respect it cuts out a lot of unnecessary steps and waiting.

Thanks

Interesting....thanks for the info!
