I made the mistake of updating my map from the 2018 version to the 2023.20 region but then lost my voice commands. Apparently I have to install the FULL version instead of a region however I need a uSD card for the latest version.

Hi All.

I have a NUVI 3590 and use the "Tongue" mount with the Ball & Socket.

The Ball keeps popping out of the socket so darn easily, it pops loose if I hit a large pothole.

Plus the "Arm" with the socket seems to droop and needs to be tightened up somehow.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to tighten things up with these ball and sockets type mounts?

Guys, we spent some time road-tripping this past week and I took my DS61 along to guide us. I can't say I have ever noticed this attribute before, but what are the blue green (teal) tracks that show up on the screen all the time? Adjacent routes? (This is not the light blue trip history track.)

Was hoping for a new set of maps.. but perhaps next year.

I went for a new job, but Garmin said no such address found luckily it was in google maps. I have never had this where Garmin could not find an address Once I got to my location, I was able to just save it. I thought about it if that happens again, I should be able to take the longitude and latitude coordinates even if it's not in the map correct? I tried it.

Garmin Express 7.15.2.0 is available for download. No issues installing it.

As of 01 Dec 2022, all my devices are showing that a new time zone map is available.

Just bought a Drivesmart 86 on a Black Friday sale, and I'm having trouble with Photolive on the map while driving. When enable it, I gets a caption "No cameras ahead on this road". I can tap on "find cameras" and it will find cameras, I can view them, save as a favorite, etc but I can't view them on the map even if I have a route set.

Is it advisable to update Map install to the latest version? I may be wrong but i thought there was something about installing maps that would not work with the latest version.

I saw a member name that I didn't recognize so I clicked on him (her?). His Factory id number is 400037. 400037! This place is awesome.

I am considering upgrading our Garmin DriveSmart 60's. One feature of the 60 that I really like is its ability to change to Portrait or Vertical orientation.

I downloaded the Garmin DriveSmart 66/76/86 Owners Manual and this is what it says:

Display Settings
Select Settings > Display.
Orientation
Allows you to set the display to portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal).

Here me out please, I bought a 12 year old truck that has a special mount drawer on the dashboard that has a Nuvi 750. The car was imported USA to Canada. So the maps had old data and home address. Excitedly I performed a master reset and everything was gone. I started getting acquiring satellite with a "?" On the anchor.

I somehow managed to delete the vehicles I had installed on my Zumo XT and I've been trying to find them again. I thought there were more vehicles installed as default than appeared after I reset my device.

Can anyone tell me what vehicles appear installed on their Zumo?

Any motorcycle srf files gratefully accepted.

I had an interesting incident when updating one of my GPSr's via WiFi recently. It's not a common occurrence and is mostly my fault but I thought others should be aware of the potential problem.

I have a Drivesmart 65 and normally do map updates via WiFi. I leave the GPS in it's mount and do it with the vehicle in the driveway where it is in range of my home router.

I had someone break into my Tahoe and steal my sdcard but not the actual unit. I was puzzled because the base is hard mounted but you can pull the face off, unplug and it's yours less the wire and mount. I'm still scratching my head about it.

Recently, I have noticed a change the behavior of my old trusted 3597. I have been leaving it on my car and always with it plugged to the cigarette lighter through the Gramin HD traffic receiver power cable that came with the 3597.

The 3597 used to power up as follows when I start the car:

1. Screen shows GARMIN logo, loading maps.

I have 2 Lifetime Updates free for my 2 GPS..Can just update 1 and somehow transfer the map to my other device since both are free lifetime updates. My data is pretty crappy out in the country side and I have to go to big city to update..

I ran into an error and couldn't find anything in the topics that matched my issue. Sorry for the long post...

I currently use two RV890's and I normally back one up when I add favorites and then transfer the favorites to the other 890.

When I attempted to backup today, it starts the backup and then fails after about 25% and says "there was an error backing up your favorites."

I have the Drivesmart 55. I was in Best Buy the other day and was playing around with the Drivesmart 86. It seems (besides the main Where To & Map screen that changed graphics) that the voice command (OK Garmin) no longer has a LIST of commands from the x5 > x6 series.

Hi All.

My wife uses a Nuvi 3590LMT for travel.

I have noticed that the screen appears to be going bad.... sort of delaminating or something. I am sure it won't be cheap to repair it, so am looking for a used one, or a newer model thag is comparable to the 3590.

Any suggestions on what to replace it with?
