How do I report a coupls of Map Errors? I've found a couple of paved roads, that have been designated as Unpaved.

When using Trip Planned can do a simple, but annoying work around, by removing the Unpaved Roads as an Avoidance. Then plan my route. I then re-click the Unpaved Road avoidance and click No, when it asks if I want to recalculate the route.

I have a Garmin Zumo XT and it has a microSD card installed. When I checked the MyMaps folder on the Zumo XT, I have two maps that I don't recall downloading. They are named:

GUAM, HONOLULU, HAWAII, KAPAA, HAWAII, KAHULUI, HA

and DALLAS-FORT WORTH SOUTHEAST, TEXAS, TALLAHASSEE, F

I have checked the folders from both the internal memory and the memory card, but I can't locate them?

Garmin Express v7.26.0 became available late on 11 August. Mine installed trouble free but as usual the update reenabled the task GarminUpdaterTask that runs at 2 AM daily.

Changes include:
Added the ability to install maps to the computer from the Manage Maps page.

Fixed an issue with non-universal/worldwide map devices displaying the Manage Maps option on the dashboard.

I've got my hands on a Garmn Nuvi 58LMT that I'd like to use as a GPS unit because of nostalgia. I tried to update maps version and it's stuck on version 4.60. Does anyone know if this device will not update to the 2026.20 version? Thank you in advance.

I've been using "OpenStreetMaps" for my Montana 610 for several years (extract.bbbike.org). Lately the downloaded maps are showing paved trails (rail trails) with a thin black line in BaseCamp and a barely visible thin white line on the Montana.

When I turn on my GPS (DS55, 2495LMT, 1390T) I get this message: New Extras data found on card. "Would you like to install this data so that it will be available if the card is removed". If I click on "Yes" it installs. Anyone know how to delete this data once it's installed without having to do a factory reset on the GPS?

I have a Garmin Zumo XT. It sometimes has difficulty keeping an electrical connection through the mini USB port. I contacted Garmin and they quoted me $130 for repair. Would they actually repair the unit I have or do they replace it with another refurbished GPS?

I recently upgraded my DriveSmart 55LMT to a DriveSmart 76 for the bigger screen. On the 55, I had a setting under Navigation, Tolls, to always ask or allow. Since I live within spitting distance of tollroads, I don't want to pay a toll to go 5 miles so it was a pretty important setting for me to be able to tell it no tolls this trip or allow them when I was traveling further.

Well I've discovered another "Feature" on my newly purchased Garmin Tread 2.
The GPX file Waypoint comment fields <cmt> contents are not displayed on the Garmin Tread 2.
The GPX file Waypoint comment fields are displayed on my two Garmin handheld devices: Garmin GPSMap 67 and Garmin Montana 700.

Is this "loss of function" specific to the Garmin Tread 2?

Purchased a Garmin Tread 2 Overland GPS for my vehicle. I've been using my Garmin Montana 700 Handheld in my vehicle and figured it was time to get a "real automobile GPS".
I was unable to get my custom symbols that I have been using on my Garmin GPSMap 67 and Garmin Montana 700 working on the Garmin Tread 2. They were not showing up.

Yup, it shows up on my Garmin Express

Garmin has the new map update for North America available, version 2026.20.

Of course it's much different than the 2350LMT it replaces. But, it has no traffic so the ETA is not accurate.

Main purpose is for red light and speed cam alerts--it came with a Dec 2024 Cyclops.

I loaded the rlc and speed files from here.

The first time I approached a rlc, a red bar appeared across the top, and also a gray bar.

Red was cyclops, gray was the poi from here.

It's been a while since I last did a road trip (2022). I recall back then I created the route on a windows 10 machine with mapsource, successfully saving it as a gpx which automatically imported into trip planner in the driveluxe 50.

Back in mid-February I updated both my Nuvi 2689 and PC to the latest version 2026.10 using Garmin Express. Now whenever I launch Garmin Express it prompts me to install a new update, version 2026.10. That is what I have been running for a while on both the 2689 and the PC. Does anyone understand why it would ask me to update to a version that I am already running? I have no idea.

I’ve had a Nuvi 2689 for several years now and it has been great. I have it paired via Bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I usually have the Bluetooth turned off though because I rarely have a need for it. My mobile plan is through Spectrum Mobile.

I've never replaced the battery in my DS65, but it's not holding a charge for very long.

Do I need to get the battery from Garmin or is it readily available from Amazon? What is the part number?

I see 4 small screws on the back. Do I access by removing those & taking off the back? Does the battery simply plug in or is it soldered?

I've been using a Zumo XT for the last couple of years without any real issues except since I upgraded my phone last year to a Samsung S23 Ultra. Since then, when using the unit and playing music, after a few minutes, if I get any poi warnings or new direction instructions, the music starts stuttering, getting worse and worse until the music finally stops altogether until I restart the Zumo.

My old Nuvi 765 gets seldom used anymore and most of the time it sits in a plastic carrying case. Today, I took it out to be used in my truck. I was suprised to find the casing of the Nuvi was tacky and very sticky to touch. I tried cleaning it with water and soap, Windex, rubbing alcohol but it made no difference.

What is happening to the casing? Am I doomed to a tacky Nuvi?
