Take heart fellow TomTom users - if your unit doesn't have mp3 playback capability (TomTom One) all is not lost! I downloaded one of the mp3 alerts from the Factory's list, converted it to .ogg format and loaded it into my One - guess what? I now have RhythmTip alerting me when I'm nearing a police station.

I am looking for a replacment to my origional garmin silver faceplate.Contacted garmin the part is not sold.
hoping someone has one for cell.

Can anyone tell me how coordinates like, for example, -122.40495 and 37.78151 are "found" to denote a specific location, on a map. I'd like to learn how to "find" these coordinates and then by following the formatting of an existing CSV file, enter them into a new CSV file.

I just noticed that Costo is offering the streetpilot 7200 for $649.00 and that included shipping and handling.

I created a file " my playlist.m3u"
in the file is

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1, sample title 1
sample1.mp3
#EXTINF:-1, sample title 2
sample2.mp3

etc.
I put my playlist.m3u,sample1.mp3,sample2.mp3 on a 2g sd card.

the mp3 player shows the word " my playlist".
when I tap it, the unit starts to play the first song.

There is no second menu showing sample1 or sample2

Rick5266 has been pounding out the mp3 sound files and really got our sound library going. Thanks so much for that inspiration to really get it up.

Has anyone else had the following problem?.......

If I upload the red light camera file, my alerts for sheetz stores are gone, and vice versa, can someone tell me what the deal is?

I recently uploaded the Enforcement Camera POI by first placing it in a new directory and then using the POI loader.

Not only did it NOT list in a seperate folder, but it overwrote my existing POI's?

Now all I have are pages of Red light POI's.

Is this normal for this file, or did I miss a step somewhere?

Just thought I'd introduce myself and offer up two new POI files that I created yesterday. Wienerschnitzel and Foster's Freeze (both fast food joints) have been uploaded.

I'm a new (about a week) Nuvi 660 owner, and am having a blast with custom POI's. I've been using GPSes since back in the Garmin GPS-45XL days.

I look forward to additional contributions (and downloads!) in the future.

Just thought it might be interesting to do an informal poll.

Do you think that Garmin developers actually ever follow the posts on sites like this (most excellent) one?

I got my first GPS (NUVI 360) a week ago and love it so far. Has anyone else noticed that the volume for the TTS commands and blue tooth is much lower than the volume for the MP3 playback? Is there a way to fix this, or is it a common problem?

I haven't noticed any instructions for the garmin nuvi 200 on downloading icons or sounds....would they be the same as the nuvi 350? Or am i not able to do this with the nuvi 200? Thanks for the help!!!!

Miss POI do you think it would be a good idea to put the gps number after the Online users name so if someone had a problem with there gps they could see everyone that has the same gps as they do that way they could directly contact them for some help Example Auggie SP2720
Snowman SP C340 ETC.

i used my C340 for the first long trip i made since i purchased it i.e. about 2 month ago. i was driving from Queens, NY to Poconos in Pennsylvania. i had set my C340 to avoid toll roads and it took me via I-380 to I-80 and further into Pennsylvania. i was impressed!!!
however while coming back it behaved crazy; it chose a route which was 600+ miles, taking me across couple of states

I'm using a nuvi 660: Mac 10.4.10 OS w/Garmin POI Loader installed. Downloaded the USAPOI Tourist Guide for Hotels.csv to the desk top. Can't get the POI Loader to recognize the .csv file to upload to the nuvi or the SD card. Would appreciate any help.

May I suggest a new POI category?

Trucking related...or something on that line.

I'm working on several projects related to trucking, but I'm afraid they'll get lost in the other categories.
