oh well......... (c330 lock up)

the lack of response doesn't inspire much hope. now the pc doesn't even recognize it. i guess i'm just screwed since i misplaced the receipt. if anybody has any ideas short of buying a new one i would appreciate it. i'm a truck driver shut down for the night and was trying to put all of the t/a's, pilots, loves, and flying j truck stops in here when this happened. this thing has saved me lots of time in trip planning which means more production/money and i really need it up and running by morning if anybody can tell me something i haven't already tried. thanks.....

it's a c330. didn't see anything about the screen locking up. i explained the problem in the post before this one. i'm pretty sure it's just hosed. i'm going to call garmin first thing in the morning.

Keep trying the master reset by placing your finger in the lower right corner (as close to the edge as possible) when starting up.

You can try removing the

You can try removing the face plate and seeing if there's a reset hole in the unit I use a pen to reset mine, also you may be able to find the reset easier with the face plate off.

That is not the reset I'm talking about

The reset under the faceplate is not the master reset. The master reset (which also removes your favorites and basic settings) is enabled through the touch screen. When you run into a problem that the reset under the faceplate doesn't solve, Garmin generally recommends the master reset.

yep. tried again. dead.

yep. tried again. dead. can't get past the copyright screen no matter what. hooking up to the pc doesn't work either. i thought poi loader might shock it into submission but it just says it had a problem loading poi's into the unit and to try it again. oh well, got a rma number today and they said it should be home next week if i can ship it out tomorrow. they were very helpful and even gave me their ups shipping number so it wouldn't cost me anything.
