Transferring data to mapsource

I noticed that when connecting my 2720 to my computer and opening mapsource and then clicking on "receive", that it only imports my favorites and not the custom poi's. Is that the what it is suppose to do? Evidently, if my unit crashes or is damaged and I replace it, I won't be able to replace the custom poi's.

you noticed correctly

You have your custom poi's on your computer somewhere. They are easily replaced.

Your favorites are only on your gpsr, (until you move a copy to your computer.)

You can also edit/update/add/delete favorites while using mapsource, then send back to the gpsr.

Thanks for the info. I'm a big believer in backup, so I guess I had better backup my custom poi file just incase my computer dies.
