Project idea etiquette....

I am starting this thread because I keep coming across situations where one person talks about a plan for a project idea and then it shows up in the content bin under a different maintainer.
Sometimes I am not really paying attention to what you guys plan in the forums.
So, if you see that someone has an idea for a POI File please talk with them before going ahead and putting their project together.
They may have already invested many hours putting things together and if you fly in and post before they do it makes me look like an idiot;)
I was able to catch something that started to happen this weekend and I hope that I didn't come off looking too dumb to the visionary of the idea.
I know that it is exciting to get new ideas to contribute to the site, however please be aware that you might leave someone else feeling like their toes have been stepped on if they had the idea first.
We need to be communicating so that you guys are not duplicating your efforts.
