After our discussion about the age of the Choice Hotel file I decided to upgrade the file for myself for it was outdated and I was getting ready for several road trips.
I looked at their website and found it in need of being more informative such as information of current changes of motel standings. One case is where the directory lists a Comfort Inn in Fairbanks AK and one can Google it but it is not on their website. I found several of these cases where either it is not there or has changed chains.
One other problem is that sometimes Geocode will be wrong.
One example is in Liberal Kansas. Take the Comfort Inn address of 720 Pancake Blvd Liberal Kansas and enter it in Google Maps. It will place a pin over a bed indicating a motel. It is one but the Motel you want is one half mile northeast.
With this in mind I started my own refinement and today I uploaded 1300 Choice Motels in Kansas, Nebraska, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, California, Arizona, Colorado and Alaska.
The csv files contain the name, motel number, address, State and telephone number so if one wants to can take the old Comfort Inn file and update the above states. Am starting Oklahoma now.

I did NY for myself about 6 months ago. I like address and especially phone number on my files. I don't have motel number, but includes address and phone number and motel name. If you want to take a look at it send me an email through my contact.
