I wonder, though. Has anyone ever seen the Honorable Mention badge given out?

I guess so few people get it, I somehow(!?!) missed it. Thanks. Gravity is not the only thing that is a bitch as you get older.

When awarded, you only keep the COW badge for the week you are being honored ... it does not "stick" permanently. The Contributor of the Year awards and badges do stick however.

A while back, JM indicated that he might consider putting a notation in the user's profile history showing the number of times and date(s) that the user held the COW award. I haven't heard anything about this lately so I don't know if it is still being considered. When you meet a particularly helpful member, it would be nice to know if they have ever been honored with a COW.

Not permanent, but should stick for more than one week. Maybe for a year.

I too would like to know if the person answering my question has had a COW.

I have kind of a funny little story about this. We drove by this building on our way home from church one Sunday. My grandson who was 7 or 8 at the time looked out the window and saw the sign for this facility. He said "Grandpa! What is that place for?" Without hesitating I said, "That's where they teach COWs how to be hamburgers."

He is 12 now but still laughs about it.

Geez, don't have a calf... At least he didn't follow the herd, or we all may be put out to pasture.
