RLC POI

Just to thank Poi factory, i am now in Tallahassee, FL. and so far so good, my GPS found the red camera on time.

Stolen GPS

Someone broke into my car last night and stole my cell phone and GPS. Both of them were hidden in the car, in my arm rest.

Just wondering what people would recommend to replace the GPS. I'm mostly considering Garmin since they seem to be the most popular. Of course it needs to support custom poi's and announce turns, etc.

Texas in November to open 85 mph toll way

Yippee! We've discussed the 85 mph before but here is the date for going live. The state already has 80 mph speed limits on some highways in rural West Texas.

TSA Testing Liquid inside terminals

Would you let strangers put something into your beverage? I just can't believe everyone in the video let those TSA agents drop something in their drinks. I thought the pat down and the backscatter scanners were bad enough. This is out of control.

SD card maps

I just bought a SD card of North America maps 2012 .I in stalled the card and then turned on the GPS and it just sits there loading maps ,Have I done something wrong?Garmin 250W.

Celebrity GPS voiceovers

I wish celebs would offer their voices for navigation devices (even for a fee). These would be my 5 favorites:

1- Gordon Ramsay (including expletives)
2- Alec Baldwin (includes rants for wrong turns)
3- Ozzy Osbourne (including expletives)
4- Paul McCartney ('nuff said)
5- Julia Louis-Dreyfus (in the voice of Elaine Benes, of course)

Who would be your top 5?

56th Annual Gordon Bennett Gas Balloon Race

The 56th Annual Gordon Bennett Cup is under way from just East of Zurich, Switzerland.

17 teams are competing in this multi-day endurance event in the air.

It can be fun to track the teams via realtime GPS tracking over the many days they are in the air during the competition. So, here is a link to the tracking page:
