$25 Amex Credit on 11/24

To promote small businesses, American Express is giving a $25 credit for a single transaction of $25 or more at participating small businesses on November 24th.

I did this last year.

https://www.americanexpress.com/us/small-business/Shop-Small...

Easy money

I did this the past two years and got my statement credit quickly without any issue. It is easy to register for the promotion and easy to earn the statement credit.

Thanks for the heads up

Didn't see anything about it this year, but did it last year no issue

thanks for the info

Cool. First I've seen of

Cool. First I've seen of this

I don't use Amex CC because

I don't use Amex CC because they would require you to provide them a copy of tax return and blah blah. No other CC company do that even for premium or signature cards.

A deceptive practice from Amex.

Other CC company such as Capital One, Bank of America, Discover even offer more generous cash back all year round and sometime they just send me $10 - $15 starbuck/best buy/macy's gift card just for thank you. Both for consumer and business account.

I do use AMEX, cause I like it

Thanks for the info.

ericruby, Thanks for the Info and Link!

And, Thanks to Amex for the offer! smile

Amex Lite?

I must have the pseudo Amex card (my card DOES have a credit limit) as I never had to provide a copy of a tax return.

Maybe the cards that have no pre-set spending limit require a tax return.

No good businesses near me

I went through about 100 businesses near me and didn't see any that I would spend $25 or more at to get the credit. It's a good deal for those of you that it works for.

Thanks!

Thanks! I was not aware of this AMEX promotion. I registered both cards and will check the AMEX site this time next year...

many thanks for the tip

Appreciate your posting.

Great deal

One nice about this promotion is that you can get one statement credit per card. I registered both of mine and purchased $50 of free seafood at a participating seafood market yesterday.

OH NO

I never got the message (email) this year. I got an email last year and I did use the $25.00 deal. I missed out this year. I added the date to my neat years calender, to be safe.
Thanks for the info.

Did a couple of purchases at the local pizza shop

Waiting for email confirmations, but the pending charges are showing up on the accounts. Those with many cards and authorized users on those cards can make out pretty well. Hopefully the merchants actually benefit from the activity.

bummer missed this.

will have to check this out. Thanks for the tip.

Credit Received

I had the $25 credit within a three days of purchasing on 'small business Saturday' 11/24.

I heard e few news reports about the promo on WTOP radio in Washington DC.

Kudos to Amex, can't wait to do this again next year.

Definitely a win-win-win

Win for American Express
Win for a small business
Win for the card member

Wish I'd known...

...about this earlier.

Neither have I had my card for years. Filled out the application on line, no different from the other cards

Credit arrived

The credit was applied to my account as expected.

The only surprises for me was how quickly it was applied this year, and that it showed up on my account as "Shop Small Offer CHICAGO." I don't remember it listing the location/region the small business purchase was made in years past.

No idea

I had no idea this program existed. I clicked on the original link but there was no place I could see to register my card. I'll put this on my work calendar and check again next year to see if I can get registered for the promotion.

I didn't have to provide a tax form for the card. I've never heard of such a thing. The only reason I have an AMEX card at all is because it's the only one accepted by Costco. Costco definitely wouldn't qualify as a "small business". surprised

Wished I hadn't missed this

I sure wish I had seen this in time. I will be sure to watch for this next year! Thanks for sharing it.

Costco Amex

I too started out with a Costco Amex. It was a 'Platinum' card, but there was no annual fee and it had a credit limit. When I used it to join a local gym, the owner thought I was Daddy Warbucks as I had a Platinum Amex. I didn't tell him otherwise. smile

Perhaps the Amex cards with no pre-set limit require tax forms and the like. When I quit Costco, they kiboshed my Amex but switched me to a 'Blue' card that also has no fee.

This is a great promo and as posted above, a triple win all around!
