My whole working career was a series of deadlines. Actually, I'm beginning to think that my whole life was a series of deadlines. When I stopped working 6 years ago, I threw away my watch. It was my way of throwing out a life of always having to be somewhere on time. There is something satisfying in sitting on my balcony with a cup of coffee watching my neighbors hurry off to work. Maybe it's because I see there are more years behind me than ahead of me so why hurry the process.
Life is good. The air this morning is crisp, the birds are singing, and the sun just broke over the Cabinet Mountains. The coffee tastes great and I see the first spring flowers coming up. Yes, life is good.
Oh darn !!!!!!!! I'm late for a doctors appointment.....time to run !!!!!!

...That's the bad thing about getting old. You start appreciating life, watching neighbors go to work when you know you don't have to,,,, and then it kicks it. Forgetfulness. Yep, the price of getting old. Can't remember what time it is, where you left your shoes the night before, your wife's name.
