It seems we are busier now, with things like doctors, than we ever were when we were working. Getting old isn't for sissies.

Another dreary day in paradise
At one time "dreary" would have been a negative but it is in my nature to see the glass half full rather than half empty. It's another dreary day because it is overcast and drizzling. The weather person keeps promising that the weather will get better and my neighbors are complaining that winter is over and they want the sun. I understand their feelings, I used to have the same when the weather messed up my work schedule and play plans.
There is something very satisfying about now having the time to stare out the window while sipping my morning coffee. To see all the new spring leaves dancing to the cadence of the constant rain. To watch the squirrels dash across the forest along the branches totally ambivalent to how precarious their place is. To watch all the birds bathing their wings while dodging all those squirrels flying by.
Another dreary day in paradise is a good thing. From the dreariness hope is emerging. Hope for a sunny day and hope for another great day with the one we love and cherish.

Great start to week
I'm 13 days post total knee replacement (2nd one) and had therapy this morning. Got on the bike and without thinking went all the way around and was then able to continue pedaling for ten minutes! Measured flex on knee and I am at 115 degrees so the hard work is paying off!
