Using Here Maps

I recently noticed that using Here maps offline with bluetooth activated on my cell phone, the voice prompts disappear. Turning off bluetooth will bring it back to life. Does anybody experience the same?

Details Please

What smartphone are you using and what are you connecting to?

Well...

Actually its my wife's smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S4. She has to turn on the Bluetooth on her phone for her to make and receive calls on her car's built-in hands-free feature. She complained to me that while she was trying out the Here maps (offline, of course to avoid data usage) for routing that I just installed on her phone, there was no voice prompts, only the regular moving car icon. But when she turned off the Bluetooth on her phone, the voice prompt would work. I was wondering maybe the Here maps program designed it that way. That is to say, you can't use it offline with Bluetooth on and use the voice option at the same time, you know.

By the way, I've been using Here maps on my Samsung Note 4 offline with Bluetooth off all the time and I don't have problems with the voice prompts. I have yet to try using it with Bluetooth on and see if I would experience the same. Also, I notice that after using Here for routing and then using it again for the second time for another route, the voice prompts would disappear. Only after I first clear the cache for Here maps would it work again, I mean the voice prompt. Hmmm...

Wow

One asked, one asked what back, one answered back, and that was it. smile
