This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related.
This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.
I noticed this feature today, then saw an ad for BMW about this feature.

Has anyone sent a POI to their car yet?
Here is an article regarding red light camera revenue in Marietta, Georgia (A suburb in NW Atlanta). Interesting.
Since some of the same people post on here, I am wondering if anyone know what happened to laptopgpsworld.com because except for the the main page, the website has been inaccessible for several weeks.
About a week ago I saw a link on the main page about server problems, but that link would not open.
Attempts to log in result in a perpetual spinning wheel.
This week we are recognizing Garmin_geek!
Garmin_geek has been a member of the site for about 2.5 years and has built quite a few files based on his own hobbies and interests. His most recent addition is Epic Car Campsites based on an article in Backpacker Magazine.
Thank you for your continued contributions to our community!
I am a person who sews. I don't quilt. Does anyone have a lead on a poi for fabric stores? I saw the one for quilting stores, but they often don't carry garment or home decorating fabrics. I am specifically looking for New England and the Northeast down to Mid-Atlantic areas.
I am forwarding this new list of speed cameras in MD. Not sure which ones we've got already or whether there are new ones in the list.
NB = North Bound
SB = South Bound etc.

we are currently on a road trip. Went to take a picture and realized that I did not know how to modify the camera configuration. After getting back to the motel I was able to download the camera manual!
Also, as an amateur radio operator, I also have my radio manuals on the tablet. Having manuals on the tablet as PDF documents is very helpful.
I just want to let everyone known the Gilsson UBM / UBM-1 beanbag mounts are becoming hard to find. Tonight I bought one for a friend at Frys.com for $20 and feel lucky to have found it. I've had one for a couple years and would highly recommend it.
Over the last few months I made a couple of long trips through the western states. I noted that the Octane Rating for Regular gas was 85.5 at almost all gas stations. However, the Octane Rating for Regular gas in Alberta and British Columbia was 87.0.
Can anyone inform me why the Garmin DC40 dog tracking collar is not legal in Canada?
Nothing remotely connected to a GPS but I found the following very interesting and am going to try it on some rusted parts in my gas grill.
Hope it was a good one!

This week we are recognizing alandb!
Alandb is a regular around the forums and can often be relied upon for a thoughtful or helpful comment or suggestion. This week his thoughts were particularly helpful in the “Deleting Map In Internal memory” thread. He also posted the useful “Garmin Nuvi Model History” in the Garmin talk forum.
As posted above, I am just curious if you use you vehicle GPS all the time when driving, whether you need it or not, if you don';t even turn it on when not needed, or do you put it elsewhere when not needed? My wife drives a Dodge Grand Caravan and she completely stored the Garmin Nuvi 500 most of the time and only powers it up when needed.
How do i upload a file to this site? Do i need a program on my computer? thanks.
I have basecamp in my PC and when i go to Canada there is no detail,something wrong or do i have to spend more money to do what mapsource does for free.
