unexpected outcome at dentist's office

I'm not afraid since this year we have $1500, $50 deductible, and 100% or 0% copayment.

Went to dentist who fixed a chip, took maybe 30 minutes. Was done by polishing a "ledge" where the enamel meets the dentin.

When I got to the receptionist I was ready to pay $50 for today, knowing anything going forward is free up to $1500.

Ham Radio Balloon Shot Down?

An amateur balloonist group from Illinois says its small balloon last reported over Alaska is ‘missing in action.’

https://aviationweek.com/defense-space/aircraft-propulsion/h...

The K9YO balloon has GPS and reports its position by APRS:

Always Carry A Crayon In Your Wallet

From time to time I read about advice to always carry a crayon in your wallet. In reading through the advice it makes absolutely no sense and the longer you read, the less sense it makes. Why would anyone want to carry a crayon in their wallet? It seems it would become melted and make a mess of your wallet.

cash for cars 50% on the dollar

I had my old car removed today, and when they lifted it up, the driver face timed the office, who said that's an aftermarket CAT.

I said can't be, I'm the original owner.

I will give my honest assessment.

The CAT looked cheesy, unsubstantial.

LastPass, only getting worse

Quoting article, “…the attacker obtained the passwords of 30 million users and 85,000 companies from LastPass.

Best to change your password, if you haven’t done so already.

Nice day for a walk

Another beauty day for a walk. Ultrasound tomorrow at hospital.

arranging to junk a vehicle

All this battery talk etc. has gotten me to finally junk the car in the driveway, that hasn't driven since 2016.

It was my first new car, and it was my dream car: 1998 Maxima SE 5 speed with every option except wind deflector.

The fact that I started it last week adds $30 to the value, and it comes in at $600.

I suspect this number is higher than 2019, but I never checked prior.
