10 Years Ago, and More

The topic here about Zadmi got me thinking. In 1999, I was using a hockey puck receiver with Rand McNally mapping software on a laptop to navigate. I was driving an 18 wheeler. The maps were none to detailed, and actual addresses were hard to locate. It would get you in the general area. Sometimes it would take you exactly where you want to go.

Taco Bell USA and Canada

The Taco Bell USA and Canada file will not load in MS Street & Trips 2013. I have also tried to make a *.gpx file and it will not do that either. Any suggestions?

Florida Traffic Map (traffic counts, etc.)

I came across this neat little map while browsing FDOT's website. I had no idea that there were so many traffic counting devices installed.

Happy Labor Day

Have a happy and safe Labor Day... grin

Rear window decals are illegal in NY

Yup. Those college decals (and anything else you have) in your rear window are illegal. My Nephew got stopped for speeding and the Trooper reduced the speeding to a illegal rear window decal. He removed the decal in front of the Trooper and had the ticket signed accordingly. He still needs to go to court. It sounds like he got very lucky.

And it's a stiff $150 plus surcharge.

Problem with "Campgrounds and RV Parks Combined"

I'm new to custom POIs and am having a problem with "Campgrounds and RV Parks Combined". When I use the Garmin POI loader to load this CVS file to my 1450 Nuvi, I get an error message that there is a problem with the second line of the file. I've successfully loaded several other CVS and GPX files to my nuvi, but this great list of campgrounds just won't go.
